Mr. Su Anzhou is a retired employee of the Lanzhou City Railroad Bureau in Gansu Province. His wife Geng Cuifang was a small business owner. Twenty-five year old Mr. Su Wei, who was not a practitioner, was these Falun Dafa practitioners' only child. The family of three was very happy, but because the couple practise Falun Dafa, they have been brutally mistreated. Two of them have died, and one is in prison.

On May 3rd, 2002, Ms. Geng Cuifang was assaulted in her home by police, and tragically died from falling off the building. Mr. Su Anzhou was arrested on September 14th, 2002, and sentenced to ten years in prison on October 27th, 2002. He is now detained in the Lanzhou City Prison. Their son Su Wei, who was 22 years old, was left home without any living resources, and became sick with tuberculosis due to malnutrition.

In June 2006, Su Wei's condition worsened. His relatives, neighbours, and the community donated money to have him treated, and contacted the Lanzhou City Prison to bail Su Anzhou out on medical parole to take care of his dying son. Mr. Su was hospitalised in the Prison Hospital, and he was eligible to be out on medical leave. Because Su Anzhou refused to give up his cultivation in Falun Dafa, the Prison Administration refused to let him out on medical leave. They escorted him home on July 26th, 2006 to visit his dying son for only one moment.

When he arrived home, Su Wei's whole body was swollen and his face was beyond recognition. His legs were swollen to the point of transparency, and he was oozing out liquid. He could not walk, and his room smelled very bad. Su Anzhou put his hands on his son's head, and could not speak one word. Su Wei said to the guards, "I beg you to release my Dad." Everyone that was standing by was moved to tears, but the guards still took away Mr. Su. Su Wei died at home on August 4th, 2006.
