Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners went to the Singapore Consulate General on December 4th, 2006, to deliver a letter. They strongly protested the Singapore authorities for making an unreasonable verdict against two Falun Gong practitioners who peacefully protested in front of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, and were then forced into prison. The practitioners urged the Singapore authorities to immediately correct their mistake and stop being an accomplice to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in persecuting Falun Gong.

Since November 28rd, the third round of court trial of the "harassment"case that Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore were wrongfully charged with, Hong Kong practitioners have been displaying banners outside the Singapore Consulate General and peacefully protesting by doing the sitting meditation on work days. The practitioners called on the Singapore authorities not to follow the CCP in persecuting Falun Gong. On the morning of December 4th, practitioners continued gathering outside the Singapore Consulate General to do the sitting meditation, protesting the Singapore authorities framing two practitioners and forcing them into prisons by legal means. At 2:30 p.m., eight practitioners went to the Singapore Consulate General to deliver a letter, urging the Singapore authorities to immediately drop the charges against Falun Gong practitioners, and release the two unreasonably detained practitioners.
They pointed out in the open letter that the case took place on July 20th this year, when three Singapore Falun Gong practitioners displayed a banner in front of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, urging the CCP authorities to stop the persecution. Singapore police charged two of them with so-called "harassment." In order to frame them and find them guilty, the court cooperated with the related authorities, refused to accept as evidence the United Nations report and other documents that prove the authenticity of the persecution, and used various means to rush the verdict. Last Friday, the court found the two practitioners guilty, and forced the two practitioners into prison, as they refused to pay fines and were planning to appeal. Falun Gong practitioners from around the world strongly condemned the Singapore authorities for assisting the CCP to do evil and for subsequently making a shameless verdict. Falun Gong practitioners sternly warned the Singapore authorities to immediately wake up before it is too late, and not become a burial object of the CCP at its demise.
Hong Kong practitioners also pointed out in an open letter that during the trial, the outside world witnessed that the Singapore judiciary system has become a tool for the authorities to suppress speeches they dislike.
Practitioners also read and delivered an open statement by the Human Rights Law Foundation, a recently set up human rights association. The association called on all countries to urge the Singapore government to drop charges against related Falun Gong practitioners and overthrow all verdicts that are illegally imposed upon them, and stop depriving Singapore people of their freedom of belief, speech, expression and assembly.
Falun Gong practitioners then handed the open letter and statement to the consulate staff.
