Dafa practitioner Wang Yuhong, an employee of Huadian Company in Beijing, has been persecuted many times by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Ms. Wang has been detained twice, jailed once; and incarcerated and abused in brainwashing centres twice. CCP officers have gone to her children's school to harass her children, forced her to leave her home, had her fired from her job, and threatened her whole family.
In June 2000, Wang Yuhong went to Tiananmen Square to display a Dafa banner to speak out for justice. She was arrested and sent to Qianmen police station, and then held at Xuanwu police station for the night. She immediately started a hunger strike to protest her detention. Du Yongwang, the chief of the security department from her work place and Wang Suijun, the clerk of the security department, picked up Wang Yuhong at the station and took her back to her workplace.
Party Secretary Huang Guoyi, Yang Ming, the Unit Party Secretary both made various threats to Wang Yuhong. They said she would be fired or her wages cut, and her husband would not be allowed to go to work, if Wang Yuhong did not write a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Gong. The persecution of Wang Yuhong has brought tremendous pressure and torment to her and her family.
One day in July 2000, the security department clerk Wang Suijun and some police from Guangwai police station came to arrest Wang Yuhong at her job. They detained her in a local elementary school. Wang went on a three-day hunger strike in protest. Wang's captors extorted one hundred yuan1 from her before finally releasing her.
In October 2000, Li Yangling, the Party Secretary of Party Discipline Inspection Commission and Unit Secretary Yang Ming forcibly removed Wang Yuhong from her workplace and took her to the brainwashing centre of the Tiantanghe Forced Labour Camp where she was persecuted until her mind had weakened.
On January 23rd, 2001 while Wang Yuhong was at work, the CCP leaders from Wang's work unit and officers from Guangwai police station again arrested her. They dragged her to a waiting police car and took her to Xuanjien police station. Wang was held there and later sent to the Chaoyang detention centre. She again started a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
The detention centre guards ordered the other inmates to tie Wang to a wood board and to force-feed her and to beat her. She endured fifteen days of relentless torture. She was left in an extremely weakened state, and had no feeling in her arms. She was not released until she was on the verge of mental breakdown.
Only a few days after her release, though she was still very weak and not fully conscious, Man Hengli, the Party Secretary from her workshop, and Party Discipline Secretary Li Yangling returned her to the brainwashing centre in Tiantanghe Forced Labour Camp for more persecution. She was not allowed to sleep and was forced to remain standing for many hours. Finally she passed out and fell to the ground.
After enduring so many years of persecution at the hands of her work unit leaders, Wang Yuhong was severely damaged mentally and physically. In March 2006, Wang Yuhong was forced to leave her home and become homeless to avoid being arrested again. This caused further torment to her family and her relatives.
When Wang Yuhong healed physically and recovered mentally, she came back home and tried to get justice from her work unit. When she did, she found she had been laid off. This deprived her of her only source of financial support.
