Ms. Meng Hulun and Ms. Jia Haiying Brutalised in an Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Forced Labour Camp

Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Meng Hulun and Ms. Jia Haiying from Huolinguole City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, have been brutally tortured during their recent imprisonment because of informing people about the true nature of Falun Dafa in 2006 in the Xing'an League (a special region). Fellow practitioners and family members tried hard to rescue them but failed. We have learned that the Xing'an League police have contacted labour camps, including Tumuji Labour Camp, many times in an attempt to transfer them to be detained there. However, Tumuji Labour Camp refused to accept the two practitioners because their health was very bad. Staff from the Xing'an League region then took the two women to the Women's Labour Camp in Huhhot City where they are being detained.

Since the unjustifiable Falun Gong persecution has not yet been fully publicised in Inner Mongolia, government agents are still trying to "reform¹" practitioners at the Women's Labour Camp in Huhhot City. Falun Gong practitioners are being tortured by vicious means, and their family members are intimidated with lies and threats. Methods of torture used on steadfast practitioners include forcing them to remain standing upright for prolonged periods of time, denial of toilet privileges, and sleep deprivation. Practitioners are also forced to watch videos and read propaganda that slander Falun Dafa.

Currently, Ms. Meng Hulun and Ms. Jia Haiying are being held separately in the camp in the first and second squads. Their health has seriously deteriorated over the last few weeks. Ms. Meng Hulun has been tortured so much that she frequently shakes with fear, has convulsions, and faints. Ms. Jia Haiying was bedridden from February 9th to 24th, 2007, with heavy bleeding. She can no longer walk on her own.
