Fujian Province Women's Forced Labour Camp is located in Taiyu, Fuzhou City. The guards at the labour camp brutally persecute practitioners who are detained there. They do not allow steadfast practitioners to be visited by their family members, and they instigate inmates to not allow practitioners to use the restroom. They put those who refuse to be brainwashed in solitary confinement for long periods of time and monitor them 24 hours a day.
Pu Liping, around 50, is one of the practitioners detained in the labour camp. She started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The police used a "mouth opening tool" on her, which was made of stainless steel and looked like a meat mincer. They inserted the head of this device into Pu's mouth and turned it to open her mouth. Then they attached a tube with a funnel to the tool. During force-feeding, they intentionally shook the tool with force to aggravate Pu Liping's pain. Sometimes when being force-fed, Pu Liping bled so much from her mouth that she would lose consciousness on the spot.
Pu Liping used to have high blood pressure and pulmonary tuberculosis, but recovered her health after practising Dafa. However, after suffering from such brutal torture, the symptoms came back. Still, the authorities did not stop persecuting her.
Practitioner Yu Ruilian from Jishan, Guangdong Province is also detained in the labour camp. On January 5th, 2007, because Yu refused to wear the inmate uniform, guards Wu Pinyu, Chu Xinxin and others instigated the inmates Yu Yafang, Lin Xiaojuan and Zhang Lirong to remove Yu Ruilian's woollen sweater and woollen trousers and let Ms. Yu suffer in the freezing cold.
