From June 15th to the 7th, the Free Democratic (FDP) Conference was held at Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart, Germany. Falun Gong practitioners in Stuttgart handed leaflets to the party representatives at the main entrance to the arena, exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution and organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
The leaflets were well accepted. Some of the representatives have already had a clear understanding of the persecution. On May 10th 2007, Florian Toncar, spokesman for the FDP and member of the Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Committee had pushed German MPs to jointly submit a resolution condemning the CCP system of forced labour education.
This May 10th the Federal Parliament introduced a historical resolution condemning the CCP system of forced labour education. All parliamentary parties unanimously condemned the CCP inhumane system of forced labour education and asked the German government to investigate the allegations of the CCP’s organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. Toncar revealed that in the parliamentary debate before the vote, the CCP had attempted to get the Federal Parliament to abandon this resolution. He said, “The CCP officials hoped that their opinions would be taken into consideration. Yet, the CCP Ambassadors could never influence the votes of German MPs, who are elected by the German people. The resolution got a majority of our votes.”
