Every year before the summer holidays, the nursery where my son is at would invite all the children from the nursery and the day-care clinic as well as their parents to attend a celebration at the nursery. Apart from a few activities usually organised by the teachers, there would also be performances by invited groups. For parents, this was a good opportunity to communicate and chat with each other.
Because this activity was mostly aimed at the children and their parents, I decided to hand out lucky charms and paper lotus flowers, telling them that these will bring them fortune and a good future. Every time I finished doing a round of Falun Gong exercises demonstration I could always see children and their parents standing aside waiting to receive lotus flowers and lucky charms.
The parents and teachers did not show a lack of interest in Qigong exercises either. After watching the exercise demonstrations they came over and asked me where they could learn Falun Gong and I gave them details of exercise classes and other materials to clarify the facts. Moreover I told them about the greatness of Falun Gong and the on-going persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China. Some parents started learning the exercises on the spot. One parent said to me: Falun Gong’s five exercises really catch everyone’s eye. Another nursery teacher hoped that I could teach the exercises to the teachers so they could teach the children. She believed that this would greatly benefit the children both physically and spiritually.
