Germany: Protesting Against the Persecution at the Chinese Consulate in Hamburg

On July 20th 2007 Falun Gong practitioners went to the Chinese Consulate in Hamburg from all over Northern Germany to demonstrate against the eight years of persecution suffered by their fellow practitioners in China. They demanded an immediate end to the persecution of innocent people whose only desire is to be able to practise the Falun Gong exercises and to live according to their spiritual beliefs.

Many Chinese citizens and other people visiting the Consulate saw the protests. Practitioners distributed leaflets and some people chatted with them for a long time. Towards the end of the vigil, a Hamburg TV station sent a crew to film the exercise demonstration and to gather information about the demonstration.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa is a peaceful form of cultivation, which is regarded as a threat by the Communist Regime because of its large number of adherents. Practising Falun Gong in China is punishable by detention and torture. A living organ bank of Falun Gong practitioners is held in secret concentration camps; they are regarded as enemies of the state by the Communist Party and are stripped of their human rights. They can be killed and robbed of their organs at a moment’s notice. Their organs are sold for high profit to customers from abroad.
