In February 2005, because Ms. Shi Chunni, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Wencheng Town, Wendeng City, Shandong Province, distributed leaflets exposing the persecution, she was reported to the authorities. She was arrested by Wang Yongjian, Xiang Hongping, and others from Wendeng National Security Team, and was persecuted for three years in Wang Village Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province.
After Ms. Shi was arrested, her husband, Liu Sizhen, and her son, Liu Jun, were devastated. Liu Sizhen was distraught and drowned his sorrow and worry with alcohol all day long. His health became worse and worse. And he was hospitalised many times. Their son, Liu Jun, worried about his mother and at the same time he had to take care of his sick father. He was under enormous stress having to shoulder the economic and mental burdens.
At the beginning of April 2007, Liu Sizhen could no longer take care of himself and was again hospitalised in Song Village Hospital. His relatives had to nurse him. In view of the circumstances, the family members and relatives repeatedly asked Wendeng National Security Team and Wang Village Forced Labour Camp to release Ms. Shi to take care of her husband, but both the security team and the forced labour camp repeatedly gave them the runaround.
Not until Liu Sizhen was on the verge of death did the police from Wendeng National Security Team send Ms. Shi home. Four to five days later, on April 20th, an angry, grief-stricken Liu Sizhen died. He was only 54 years old. The police wasted no time in taking Ms. Shi back to the forced labour camp.
A family was thus persecuted and torn asunder by the CCP
