Ms. Gao Zhenxiu Died as a Result of Persecution in Tianjin City

Ms. Gao Zhenxiu lived in the Dagang District, Tianjin City. She used to have severe heart disease and high blood pressure. Her diseases all disappeared after she began practising Falun Dafa at the end of 1997. Her personality also changed for the better, which impressed her friends and family. They witnessed her suffer for over a dozen years. The improvement of her mind and body was a testament to the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa.

After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Gao went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was arrested, detained twice, and sentenced to forced labour for 18 months. She was tortured in Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp for eight months. Her heart disease recurred while she was in the labour camp, and her family bailed her out for medical treatment.

After she returned home, the guards from Banqiao Labour Camp, male officers Zhao Wanmin and Hu Zhandong from Gangbei Police Station and the Yingbin Neighbourhood Administrators constantly came knocking on her door to harass her. They took 3,000 yuan¹ from her as "guarantee money" and constantly terrorised her. During this time, her heart condition worsened. Her family paid hundreds of thousands yuan for medical treatment for her. Sadly, she died on January 2nd, 2008, as a result of the huge mental and physical pressure.
