For many years, the No. 4 Team of Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province has been the place where older Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted.
They subject these older practitioners to heavy surveillance. The prisoners who are ordered to monitor them are like shadows, following the practitioners everywhere they go. No matter what practitioners do - work, walk, eat - there will be these persons around watching their every move. Even in the toilet, you are monitored.
I am in my 60s. Still, I'm a target of heavy surveillance. My bed is Number One in the cell. When the names are called in the workshop, it was arranged that I would be the first one to report. It was arranged for me to sit in the first seat at the first table in the canteen. Also, when watching TV, they put me in the first row. (Later, I was transferred to the back row because the loud noise gave me a headache.) Everything I do, there are these persons watching me. They watch my every move and listen to every word.
Around March 20th, 2006, I was ordered to take a blood test. I was thinking then that I was not a sick person since I'm a practitioner. I knew I didn't need that blood test. Besides, a blood test does not require that big an amount of blood. I thought, isn't this another disguised way to persecute us? Also, when we were first arrested and sent to the forced labour camp, we already had a thorough physical examination and blood work. I told them, "I'm very healthy and I don't need that test." Right then, four policemen came up to me, trying to push me to the ground. Three of these four police are very big - almost six feet tall. They are Instructor Zhang Bin, Deputy Head Xue Yuan, Li Zhiyong and Ma Jingbo. After they tried for some time, they couldn't push me to the ground. Then, another two policemen came over. The six policemen pushed me to the ground. They stepped on me. Some twisted my arms. Some stepped on my back, and I couldn't breath because of this. They striped my clothes off of my arm and took my blood by force.
On April 19th, 2006, the labour camp authorities forced me to have a so-called "vaccination," which I refused. Again these six policemen treated me violently and forced me to have the vaccination. They were very abusive of me, an older man.
