At about 4:00 p.m. on March 7th, 2008, Ms. Li Shujie, a practitioner from Hailun City, Heilongjiang Province, was at work, when a group of officials led by Zhao Yunfeng from the Public Security Bureau in Hailun City deceived her into coming out of the workshop and then forced into a car. They took her to a small, two-story building in which Falun Gong practitioners were brutally mistreated.
In this building there are iron chair1 torture apparatus, thick, double-layer curtains, and several separate rooms. Five of the persecutors put Ms. Li in an iron chair and restrained her hands behind her back. They force-fed her about 500g of liquor and a bottle of mustard oil. They also put lit cigars into her nostrils and tried to force her to smoke. They did this several times, so Ms. Li was force-fed nearly 1,000g of liquor and one and a half bottles of mustard oil. Her mouth was tied tightly with a towel, causing her lips and mouth to crack and break.
The persecutors used their fists to rub her ears back and forth and did the same on her ribcage. They called it "playing a piano." They beat her about her entire body with a small white plastic club. As a result, she was covered with black and purple marks. The handcuffs cut into her wrists and left her with obvious scars. To this day, her hands still hurt greatly and are numb. Thus, Ms. Li Shujie has lost the ability to work.
The evil miscreants gained nothing and had to release her after 15 days of detention and inhuman treatment.
The other practitioners tortured at the same time were Qin Lanyan, who was beaten for three days, Shi Ying, Liu Deqing, and Zhang Shuyan.
