Saturday is the best day for German people to go shopping. On April 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in Hamburg again went to the shopping centre in this second biggest city, to reveal the truth and expose the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The streets were filled with people and very busy. When passing by the posters clarifying the truth about Falun Gong, people looked shocked and sad. Many local people told Falun Gong practitioners: These tragic photos made them feel sad. One after another, people signed the petition calling on the German government to protect human rights of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Before the posters, a Chinese lady from mainland China, with her child, looked somewhat excited. She seemed doubtful about the fact that Falun Gong practitioners were being cruelly persecuted by the CCP. In a loud voice, she spoke about her opinions to a local Falun Gong practitioner. Calmly, the practitioner told her whatever Falun Gong practitioners do, they do it according to the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”. Those who have been persecuted to death are all named here. Hearing this, the voice of the Chinese lady became more peaceful.
At this moment, a German lady approached the Chinese lady and told her: “I can understand your feeling. You know, many Germans were the same as you when German people were killing Jews. They said at that time: It is impossible, how such a thing can happen, and we don’t believe it. It was because Germany was their motherland that they were not willing to believe it. But, when they were saying that, several million jews had already been killed.”
The Chinese woman understood what the German lady told her. She nodded with some embarrassment. She told the Falun Gong practitioner that she would like to get to know why Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted to death when she goes back to China.
“My hands are warming like burning”
When the Chinese woman left, the German lady told the Falun Gong practitioners, “It was the first time for me to know that the organs of Falun Gong practitioners had been removed and murdered when Hu Jintao came to Hamburg last year. I was then given a leaflet outside a hotel in Atlanta.”
“My hands are warming like burning and I can not describe how I am feeling now. Sixty years ago, a massacre happened in Germany now is again taking place in China.”
“I think it very good for you standing here. You should be here more and I am fully in support of you.”
