Ms. Wang Shuxia, 45, was a Falun Gong practitioner who lived in Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province. She made her living by managing a booth at the market. In January 2001, she appealed for Falun Gong, and was arrested and detained by officers from the Diaobingshan City Police Department. She was subjected to inhuman tortures in the detention centre. Guard Jin Pengfei (male) whipped her many times with a triangular belt, shocked her with electric batons, and shackled her. The physical and mental tortures caused her to become mentally disordered, and she was soon released.
In 2002, she was arrested again when she was reportedly practising the exercises outside. She was taken to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for a three-year term. The inhuman tortures she endured made her mental disorder become worse. Instead of releasing her, the labour camp administration locked her in solitary confinement for long periods of time with both of her hands tied up high above her. No one was allowed to contact her. She was released in 2005.
In November 2007, she played a video exposing the persecution of Falun Gong at a booth she was operating. Officers from Hongfang Police Station and the City Police Department arrested her, ransacked her home, and took away her TV set, DVD player, and Falun Gong books.
On January 15th, 2008, the Diaobingshan City Court held a secret trial, and sentenced her to three years in prison. On May 3rd, 2008, they took her to the Shenyang City Prison. On May 5th, 2008, the prison guard called her family and said she had died from a stroke. When her family went to see her body, they saw all the injuries. Ms. Wang's family was very sad because she was tortured to death in less than 48 hours! They want to seek justice for her.
The prison administration is very scared that if her family sues them, more of the crimes they committed will be uncovered. They paid the family 190,000 yuan1 and paid all the funeral costs. People who know the true details, please provide more information.
