Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners hold Activities at a Carnival Celebration in Siberia

On August 8th to August 18th, Falun Gong practitioners from Krasnoyarsk and Abakan in Siberia participated in the annual Vissarionovtsev religious community carnival to introduce Falun Gong and the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in China to local residents.

Every year this time, many tourists from Russia and other countries around the world would come to a farm village in southern Krasnoyarskiy Kray to participate in the carnival celebrations.

During the three day celebrations, Falun Gong practitioners held various activities to help tourists from afar know the benefits of practising Falun Gong. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and taught those who had an interest to fold paper lotus flowers, which symbolise a self-cultivator's asirations to purity and high moral standards.

In addition, Falun Gong practitioners also held a small-scale 'Truthfulness Compassion and Tolerance' Art Exhibition. The artworks, all created by Falun Gong practitioners, depict cultivators’ unbending spirit in the face of the persecution.

Through the activities, many tourists have come to know the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. After leaning the Falun Gong exercises many people invited their relatives or family members to learn the Falun Gong exercises as well.
