On July 10th, 2008, Chinese Communist Party agents and Wangqing County police officers arrested Falun Gong practitioners under the pretence of "ensuring a safe Olympic Games."
On July 24th, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Wangqing County police implemented another widespread arrest and held a brainwashing session. Many of the practitioners arrested this time were the same ones arrested on and before July 10th. On July 24th, at 6:00 p.m., police officers scaled the exterior wall of a practitioner's home and jumped into the courtyard to make arrests. At around 9:00 p.m., they broke down the door to a practitioner's home. Li Youcun, Zhang Shujun, Wu Yingzi, Feng Peiqin (who originally lived in Liushuhe, Dongzhen Town), and Liu Guoxin (from Dongguang Town) were arrested.
