Ms. Liu Zhenxia, a Falun Gong practitioner in Linqu County of Shandong Province (Yeyuan town, Fushang Village in Linqu County), was held in the No. 2 Division at the Shandong Province No. 2 Women's Forced Labour Camp in Zibo City.
She was not allowed to sleep and was forced to stand for long periods of time consecutively. The guards also ordered drug offenders to take turns monitoring her 24 hours a day. Because she refused to cooperate with the guards, Ms. Liu Zhenxia was forced to stay in the toilet. She was not allowed to have warm clothes, even during the cold winter. The drug offenders ripped her jacket to pieces. When she could no longer stand, she slumped on the ground. The other prisoners poured cold water on the floor and forced her to sit on the wet floor wearing only light weight clothing. They swore at her and beat her until her face was swollen. She suffered inhumane torture constantly and became emaciated as a result of the abuse. Her legs were so swollen that she could not walk. Many other inhumane methods were used to torture practitioners, many of which have not been exposed.
Standing constantly for 24 hours without sleeping, being hung up on iron window frames and being tied to a bed using a special straight jacket are all very common ways to torture Falun Gong practitioners. The guards also instigate and induce the drug offenders to spare no effort in order to torture practitioners.
According to the information obtained, three of the drug offenders who were most instrumental in the torture at No 2 Division were: Jiang Dou Dou (around 17 or18 years old, from Chenguan town at Nanzhen County in Shanxi Province), Zhang Hui (around 25 or 26 years old, from Qingdao City) and Qin Nan Nan (20 years old, from Qingdao city). These three have tortured many practitioners with inhumane methods. They would often beat the elderly practitioners. Zhang Hui beat a practitioner who was in her 50s with her shoes. She also tied up a 60 year old practitioner on the ground.
