The Experience of Clarifying the Truth to Chinese Workers at the Pearl City of Baltic Sea Workplace

In 2006, there was a residential accommodation project being built in St. Petersburg in Russia. This residential area named Pearl City of Baltic Sea located by the Finland bay is a large cooperative construction project by Russian and Chinese companies.

In the spring of 2007, after the office building of the Pearl City of Baltic Sea was finished and being used, some construction workers came here from China. They lived in a closed area where security was in place. After knowing this information, some of us who live in that region decided to set up an exercise site in the park opposite the Pearl City of Baltic Sea. Since that place was quite far from the city centre, we decided that every Thursday we would do group exercises and distribute truth clarifying materials after work.

After finishing their work the Chinese workers went shopping or went into the city in small groups of three or five. Our exercise site was at a place where they had to pass by. At the beginning, they were all very careful. When they stopped in front of us, they looked at us with a distrusting expression on their faces. We approached them, greeted them and then gave them the truth clarifying materials.

A week later, the expression on their faces turned from distrust into happiness. They started to ask for the materials themselves, opening and read them. They were certainly very happy. Since they were in a remote foreign county, they couldn’t speak the local language and all of a sudden there were Chinese newspapers available. They could see the things happening in China and around the world. They could also see the foreign Falun Gong practitioners who were exercising, following the music and Master’s Chinese instruction. Everybody knows that Falun Gong practitioners are captured by the authorities and sent to labour camps, mental hospitals and prisons. The media shows propaganda about Falun Gong. Until they went abroad they wouldn’t know that all of those were false.

After the residential construction project started being built, one day when I was on a bus heading outside the Pearl City of Baltic Sea, I saw a lot of Chinese workers. They went out of the gate of their workplace and then back to their accommodation. And they were far more than the people who took the materials at our exercise site. I thought that all of them should have the chance to be saved. I wanted to give it a try; I headed toward the gate with truth clarifying materials in hand. The result was that all the materials were given out immediately.

Sometimes the practitioners who could come early also distributed materials together with me at the gate of the workplace. The Chinese people were very happy every time when they saw us. They greeted us in Chinese, Russian and English. Some of them also stared at our carrier bags asking, do you have some material of other kinds?

One time, when I was waiting outside the gate for the Chinese workers, two Chinese people came out of the workplace. I didn’t know what position they were in; I thought they were probably supervisors. One of them made a hand sign asking us to leave. I made a hand sign to him too, expressing I would never obey his order. I said I am in Russia, not in China. You don’t have the right to do so. The two Chinese turned around and left. They didn’t ever come to me. But when Chinese workers took the materials from me, these two people shouted at them. One of them even rushed up to a worker, grabbed a set of truth clarifying materials and threw on to the floor. But, the worker crouched and picked up the material, brushed the dust off and then put them in his pocket. In the meantime, all the other Chinese workers who went through the gate all took the materials. Those Chinese people so cherished the truth clarifying materials; they didn’t even listen to the two supervisors.

Why was there this conflict? There must be some kind of loophole in me. A few days later, I had a run-in with fellow practitioners. It was then that I finally enlightened to something. I recalled the things that had happened between those two Chinese people and me. At that time, I had a mentality that, our truth clarifying activity was going very smoothly. It was this mentality that was used as an excuse by the old forces. They then arranged this test for me. I understood that I should keep righteous thoughts at all times, and shouldn’t develop any heart of surprise, happiness or fear.

The project construction was speeding up. Even more Chinese workers started arriving. Every time we started exercising, there were lots of people coming to us. Some of them came to listen to the exercise music specifically. One time, two workers came to watch us exercising, standing there listening to the exercise music with smiles on their faces. I went in front of them, pointed with my finger at the Quitting the CCP badge on my chest, and told them in Chinese: “Quitting the CCP to ensure your safety!” (This is one of the three Chinese phrases I had learnt specifically). I also pointed out to them the contents of the newspaper saying that tens of millions of Chinese have already quit the CCP. One of them then took the Quitting the CCP book from my hand and signed his name in it. He then persuaded his companion. His companion also signed the declaration. On the second day, there came a bunch of Chinese workers. They took the materials about quitting the CCP, read for quite a while then discussed with each other seriously. There were three Chinese people who declared they were quitting CCP at that time. From then on, we started collecting quitting the CCP signatures.

Recalling what happened when we clarified the truth to the Chinese, I would say to myself, what a miracle it was! It can be seen that these Chinese were very hard to be saved in China, and our Master took care of them, let them have the chance to come to St. Petersburg and be saved. How weighty our responsibility is!

When those Chinese people came to us, they entered into our pure energy field. While listening to the exercise music, listening to Master giving instructions in their language, they became very active, with smiles on their faces. We said to them in Chinese: “Falun Dafa is Good”. They followed us saying that too. They also spoke Master’s name with their thumbs up. My fellow practitioner showed them the Russian version of Zhuan Falun. One of the workers expressed that he wanted to get a copy. We then gave him the book as a present.

Now the practitioners in St. Petersburg have formed a group, exercising and distributing truth clarifying materials there every Wednesday.

One year has passed in a blink of an eye. The time is flying. But we still have plenty of things that need to be done. The important things are the three things Master has told us to do.
