On July 18th, 2008, police officers Wang Baoyi and Feng Shaofeng from the Yuguan Town Police Station, Funing County, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Guo Daoyou from his home. He was later brought to trial on December 23rd by the Funing County authorities. On March 19th, 2009, three police officers from the Yuguan Town Police Station broke into Mr. Guo's home and arrested his wife Ms. Wang Yonghua, and she was taken to the police station. Mr. Guo's two young children no longer have any financial support. They are now trying to survive and continue their education without the help of their parents. The boy and girl went to the police station and asked that their mother be released, with no success.
The following is a letter from Mr. Guo's son asking the public to help with his parents' plight.
My father Mr. Guo Daoyou was arrested on August 18th, 2008 because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. His whereabouts remain unknown. The police, headed by Chen Yingli, have also arrested my mother. On March 19th, 2009, my mother went out to buy some fish for me. She was stopped by a policeman and he told her that he need to talk with her at the police station. My mother was taken to the police station. I waited for her to come home until evening. My sister came home to tell me that my mother had been arrested. She knew this because the police went to her school and told her about our parents being sentenced.
The next day at about 9 a.m. on March 20th, some police led by Chen Yingli came to ransack our home. When I refused to cooperate with them, Chen called some other people. After a little while, four more people showed up, and I was pushed into a corner. Three of them watched me, while the others started to ransack my home. They asked for a key to a locked room, but I refused to respond. They then called a locksmith to open the door and started to ransack that room.
My sister and I are now depending on each other for survival without our parents. It does not make sense for innocent people like my parents to be jailed. We call for help from kind people of the world to rescue our parents.
