At least one imprisoned Falun Gong practitioner in Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Zizhong County, Sichuan Province, is approaching mental collapse because of mistreatment. Others have also been physically and mentally abused.
Guards at the facility have ordered some of the imprisoned drug addicts to constantly watch, monitor, and abuse practitioners. The observers use harassment such as denying practitioners the use of the toilet, beatings, and forcing them to sit still for long periods of time.
Ms. Zhang Nengmin, a practitioner from Dazu County, Sichuan Province, has been isolated and handcuffed to a bed for six months. Some of the drug addicts in the the Seventh Squadron take turns watching her at all times and she is beaten every day. Specifically, inmates Yang Litai and Xu Wei are known to beat Ms. Zhang savagely and frequently. Ms. Zhang has reportedly suffered an ear injury as a result of their beatings. Yang has written abusive and humiliating slogans on Ms. Zhang's belly, breasts, and lower body. Ms. Zhang is developing a mental disorder, and is suffering from incontinence.
Ms. Hu Yurong, a practitioner from Qu County, Sichuan Province, has also been kept in isolation and has been under constant scrutiny by hostile observers for ten months. Male guards and more than forty of the "observers" have beaten her savagely. They have also written slogans insulting her and Falun Gong on her bed and on the wall. They have forced her to do hard labour since May 2009.
Ms. Tang Tianmin, a practitioner from Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, was beaten by guards Ren Fengming (chief), Jiang Nan, Ao Jingjing, Fu Meiqin, and other monitors. She is now also forced to perform hard labour.
In the autumn of 2008, one of the guards, Duan Aiai, did not allow some practitioners to wash or use the toilet for eight days.
In February 2009, one of the "observers," Yang Litai, did not allow the four practitioners in Cell 3-3 to talk or use the toilet.
Since April 2nd, 2009, over fifty practitioners have been forced to closely associate with more than thirty AIDS-infected, drug-addicted prisoners. They are forced to eat and work together for more than ten hours a day, making toys with needles and scissors, which often results in pierced fingers and blood, increasing the possibility of contracting AIDS.
Those participating in the persecution of practitioners include director Yang Chunlin; monitoring office director Li Qi; chief Zhang Xiaoying; chief Ren Fengming; and guards Wang Yanchuan, Ao Jingjing, Fu Meiqin, Duan Aiai, Jiang Nan, Jin Aijun, Mei Yilu, Chen Hua, Liu Decui (retired), Yang Yiqing, Yang Sha, Luo Chunhua, Mei Lu, Jiang Li, Liu Lan, Chen Xue, Wang Ji, Wang Qianyi, Xie Meiyi, Bai Lu, Jia Xiaoqian, Shang Jing, Yao Shuai, and Li Li.
