At around 8 o'clock on the night of June 25th, 2009, Loudi City Falun Gong practitioner, taxi driver Liang Keming, was arrested by the National Security Bureau of Louxing District. Now he is detained in the First Detention Centre of Loudi City.
On June 23rd, 2009, a plain clothes policeman rode in Liang Keming's taxi. Liang Keming explained the facts about Falun Gong and exposed the persecution to him as he normally does to passengers. Afterwards Lan Lin, the Team Lead of the National Security Team of Louxing District of Loudi City sent police cars to follow Liang Keming's taxi. At around 8 p.m. on June 25th, when some passengers got out of Liang Keming's taxi, two plain clothes police came out of the police car that was following Liang's taxi, got in the taxi and requested to go to the National Security Bureau of Louxing District. Liang didn't think much of it and drove there. After he arrived, the police cars surrounded his taxi and took him to the National Security Bureau. The police found over a dozen Falun Gong DVDs in his taxi.
After he was taken into custody, Liang Keming immediately started meditating. The police handed him some papers and asked him to sign them. He tore them into pieces.
His taxi was confiscated. After his family requested its return, in accordance with the law, they eventually got it back. Now Liang Keming is detained in Loudi City First Detention Centre, and nobody is allowed to see him. On July 2nd, 2009, Liang's wife asked the Louxing District National Security Bureau to release him, but nobody responded or met with her.
Liang Keming was very sick before practising Falun Gong in 1996, but he has been healthy and energetic since, and performed well in his work.
Since Jiang Zemin's, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] regime started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Liang Keming has been arrested and detained by the police many times. In February 2001, the police broke into his residence late at night and detained him in the Loudi City Detention Centre. Later he was sentenced to seven years in prison. His family was even forbidden to see the final judgement. He was secretly sent to a forced labour camp in Jinshi City, Hunan Province and finally released in February 2008. After he got home, he drove a taxi to make a living. He did a good job, and treated others with a sincere heart and righteous mind. The people around him appreciated him and his work. However, such a good person is again subjected to persecution by police.
