At about 8:00 p.m. on January 4th, 2010, when Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yuelan was posting posters exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, she was arrested by security patrol team member Xiong Shaoyin and others hired by the Yongan Police Station. After losing their property, these peasants temporarily hired by the police station wanted to obtain some income, so they reported Ms. Wang to the police. Huang Liang, head of the police station, took her to the police station.
At about 3:00 p.m. on January 5th, Ms. Wang's elderly parents, along with some other relatives, went to the police station to ask for her release. Huang Liang took out his gun and pointed it at the poster, and yelled, "Look what is on the poster! 'Heaven Will Eliminate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)!'" At about 4:00 p.m., several officers forced her into the police van, and her clothes were torn to pieces in the process. Her elderly parents were locked in the room. Ms. Wang Yuelan is now detained at Jiujiang Detention Centre.
Ms. Wang has been persecuted many times. On July 4th, 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal. Mei Jinhua, Zhang Yue and other police officers handcuffed and dragged her into the police van at Jiangxi Liaison Office in Beijing. There are still scars on her wrists from this incident. After bringing Ms. Wang from Beijing to Jiangxi, the police sent her to Jiujiang County Detention Centre. When Ms. Wang asked to have the confiscated Falun Gong books returned, she was force-fed a highly concentrated solution of salted water by Rao Hongyan, head of the detention centre. The Jiujiang County Police Department and the police also extorted 2,000 yuan from her.
Ms. Wang was arrested at her rental apartment in Jiujiang City in early May 2001. She was subjected to three years of forced labour and was detained at Jiujiang City Forced Labour Camp. To force Ms. Wang to give up her belief, division head Song Wengang deprived of her sleep for several consecutive days and nights. He also forced Ms. Wang to squat and grab her ankles with both hands for a long period of time, and restricted her movement. He also slammed her head against an iron bed frame repeatedly and tried to coerce Ms. Wang's husband into divorcing her.
In May 2008, when Ms. Wang and several others were reading books at Gui Baihua's home, Mei Jinhua and over twenty other officers from the Shuishang Police Station of Jiujiang County, arrested her and sent her to Jiangxi Women's Forced Labour Camp. The lengthy forced labour and torture made her very weak and she often fainted. In late 2008, Ms. Wang was released on medical parole because of high blood pressure.
