When it was getting dark on February 21st, 2010, the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, Chinese people kicked off their Chinese New Year Twilight Parade on major streets in downtown Sydney. It was the fourth time that the Sydney city government organised the Chinese New Year parade. Nearly 100,000 local residents and foreign tourists watched the parade. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the parade for the fourth year.
As the largest Chinese contingent, practitioners demonstrated their peacefulness and elegance, and received a warm welcome from spectators. The practitioners also brought heartfelt wishes to the people in Sydney for the New Year.
