During two meetings of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), from March 2nd to 5th, 2010, four Falun Gong practitioners from Changsha were arrested. Several of their homes were inspected by community workers. Some of their places of employment were watched all day by community workers. They were also harassed by phone.
The four practitioners all live near Yunan Street in the Tianxin District of Changsha City. Mr. Liu Muyu, Mr. Huang Yonghui, and Ms. Mao Genyue were detained in the Laodaohe Brainwashing Centre in Changsha. Mr. Gao Jianxin, whose house was ransacked, is boycotting the persecution by a hunger strike.
Mr. Huang Yonghui has been detained multiple times. He can no longer work because he is physically disabled as a result of being beaten in Chishan Prison in Hunan Province. Mr. Liu Muyu was detained for 15 days in the Changsha Detention Centre in December 2009.
