DRESDEN, Germany–Having undergone significant reconstruction since the reunification of the two German states, Dresden brought back some of its former glory by hosting the Shen Yun Touring Company's performance at the Dresden Kulturpalast.

Cathrin Limmer and Harald Richter said they clapped so hard that their hands hurt. The two restore old paintings, which helps them appreciate Shen Yun's hope of breathing new life into traditional Chinese culture and bringing it back in all its glory.

"All-in-all, the dancers were fantastic. The movements were very demanding," Ms. Limmer said.

Mr. Richter agreed and added, "I thought that the culture is wonderful as well as perfect."

"I was quite taken by this type of performance and by the artistic level that I have seen. I can only take off my hat and bow to the artists," said a former director of the Department of Microbiology at Dresden University. This gentleman had been on a Rockefeller Foundation stipend in the United States several times and had received a number of commendations for his research before his retirement.

The dance Nothing Can Block the Divine Path, in which police arrest a mother and daughter who perform Falun Dafa exercises in a park, brought back memories of the time when he lived under communist rule.

"The scene Nothing Can Block the Divine Path, where the artists re-enact the policemen and are dressed in black clothing with the hammer and sickle on the back reminds me of 20 years ago, just before the collapse of the communist rule. Even in China there are forces that will address communism and where the regime can't do anything about [it]," he said.

"The show is tops," said Petra Kloeden, business manager at a car dealership.

"This show mirrors traditional Chinese culture again. It mirrors the attitude toward life and virtues such as discipline, diligence, and willpower," she said.
