Mr. Haryadi Suyuti, deputy mayor of Yogyakarta, officially opened the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition at the Jogja National Museum. Featured at the opening ceremony were the books Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong, which guide all the exhibition artists in their daily lives and in creating their paintings in accordance to the universal principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Mr. Suyuti expressed his admiration for the paintings and said that this art was universal and timeless. He could sense the spiritual content, which he said strengthened the beauty of the paintings.

Mr. Suyuti said, "This exhibition is truly amazing. There is one message in this exhibition, and it's about one's life following the principles of Truthfulness - Compassion - Forbearance. These values inspire all of us in Indonesia. It's now time for us each to become a person who is truthful, compassionate and tolerant. That's the message we received through this painting exhibition."

In complete agreement with the deputy mayor's statement, the executive director of the Jogja National Museum, KPH Nieko Wironegoro, said that he felt honored that the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition was held at his institution. Mr. Wironegoro also added that the art exhibit enriched the Jogja National Museum, as it was different from any other art exhibition held at this gallery.

Mr. Wironegoro said, "These paintings are attractive. They convey the message of peace. From these paintings, we can learn a lot about how human beings can live in harmony, peace and love."

More than 300 guests and visitors, including art students and government officials, attended the opening ceremony.

After the opening ceremony, the chief of the Yogyakarta City Police Department wrote in the guest book, "Very good and impressive."

Mr. Suparno, an art advisor said, "Even if you don't understand much about art, you can slowly understand it by seeing these kinds of paintings. The beauty... the extensive effort to create these realist paintings. How to draw a human being in correct composition... it's very difficult. But you can see this painting... this part... that part... is truly amazing."

The "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition will be held until May 7th, 2010.
