Mr. Che Guangming from Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, was arrested by officers from Duanbei Police Station in the Huaiyin District, Jinan City, in the afternoon on June 2nd, 2010.
Mr. Che, 33, has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because he practises Falun Gong. He was detained in prison in Jiangsu Province for more than three years beginning in 2001. He was harassed by the Hangzhou City 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in late April. As a result, he left home and lived elsewhere to avoid arrest. When police officers went to his hometown in Jinhua City, they broke into his home by climbing over the walls. They searched his home but didn't find him. After that, they went everywhere trying to track him down, but they still couldn't find him. Mr. Che was staying in another practitioner's home in Jinan City at that time.
Mr. Che very recently went to a bank to open an account. To fill out the bank form, he wrote down his mobile phone number, which he had registered with his newly purchased phone, and the residential area where he was living. Using that information, the 610 Office was able to quickly track him down and arrest him on June 2nd.
