The Ordeal Suffered by Mr. Kao Fuquan and His Wife, Ms. Song Guihua

Mr. Kao Fuquan from Kaojia Village, Zhaoyuan City was arrested on May 8th by 610 Office agents (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong). He is incarcerated at a brainwashing facility, where he has been subjected to abuse and torture. His wife, Ms. Song Guihua, was also arrested on August 6th.

Mr. Kao has been held on the second floor of the Lingnan Gold Mine Brainwashing Centre in Linglong Town for more than three months. The centre's officials have forbidden his family to visit him and have blocked information concerning his circumstances from the outside world. We have learned that the brainwashing centre staffers severely abused Mr. Kao for five days. Not long ago, 610 Office agents went to Mr. Kao's son's store to search his personal computer, and asked him if he knew any other Falun Gong practitioners.

Eight intruders suddenly broke into Mr. Kao's home at around 9:00 a.m. on August 6th and ransacked it. They abducted Mr. Kao's wife Ms. Song. The home ransacking lasted for nearly four hours until 1:00 p.m. They seized Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong's founder, and other personal property. Only Ms. Song's 92-year-old mother was left at home.
