College Instructor Ms. Liu Ronghua Isolated and Tortured in Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp

Ms. Liu Ronghua is a 45-year-old Falun Gong practitioner and a lecturer at Dalian Fisheries School. She has been detained in Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp for over a year. Guards in the No. 3 Division of Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp do not allow her to use the money her friends had saved for her. Because she refused to renounce her faith, she is being kept in isolation and tortured.

On October 21st, 2009, the Committee for Forced Labour of Dalian City collaborated with the Qingniwaqiao Police Station in Zhongshan District to send Ms. Liu Ronghua to a forced labour camp for a two-year term. Previously, in April 2001, police arrested Ms. Liu because she practised Falun Gong and sent her to a forced labour camp in July of that year for a one-year term. Li Yuanpeng, the Party secretary of the school, dismissed Ms. Liu from her job and Ms. Liu's husband divorced her under pressure from the regime's authorities. Deluded by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) lies and under great pressure, Ms. Liu's father and brother cooperated with them to persecute her.

Because she is an associate professor, Su Jing, the then leader of a division of Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp paid more attention to Ms. Liu and subjected her to torture. She hung her up for 21 days, causing Ms. Liu to be disabled in her left hand and not to be able to do hard labour any more. She suffered from scabies and was beaten black and blue.

After the extended labour term imposed on her by the forced labour camp ended, Ms. Liu went back to Dalian. However, the Party Secretary of Dalian Fisheries School made a unilateral decision that he would discharge Ms. Liu from employment. Ms. Liu was fired without being given any notice or presented with any papers to sign. Ms. Liu's son was only 6 years old then, and she had no income and no place to live. Their lives became extremely difficult.

Ms. Liu is now detained in Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp and information about her has been blocked. We appeal to kind-hearted people to help stop the Chinese Communist Party's tyranny and set all Falun Gong practitioners free.
