Ni Yanping Sent to Brainwashing Centre Again for Further Persecution

Practitioner Ms. Ni Yanping was arrested on the morning of August 12th, 2010, and taken to a brainwashing centre for the second time. While there, she was brutally beaten by police and criminals. In August 2005, Ni was taken to Longtanshanzhuang Brainwashing Centre and tortured until she was paralysed and could not take care of herself. After being sent home, she practised Falun Gong diligently and eventually recovered. Below is Ms. Ni's own account of the persecution.

At around 10:00 a.m. on August 12th, I was selling bread near the Hongbo Market and Erdaojiang Railroad Residences in Changyi District, Jilin City, when officers from the Yan'anjie Police Station, along with Wen Jingsong (female, approximately 40 years old), who was section leader of the General Management Office of the Yan'anjie Police Department, took me to the Yan'anjie Police Station. A while later, I was taken to a brainwashing centre in Xiaoguang Village, Shahezi in Jilin City.

Between August 12th and September 1st, under the instigation of the Jilin City 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) secretary Bai Yan and chief Zhang, section leader Wu from the Changyi District 610 Office, Wang Shulan, Chen Yayan, Qi Zhifan, Liu Shuanghui (alias Erman), Shao Ling, Song Yaling, and officers from Jilin City and the local police stations at Lianhua Street, Hadawan Street, Yan'an Street, Minzhu Street, and Yanjiang Street in Changyi District, joined in violently persecuting me in the brainwashing centre.

When I refused to watch the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) fabricated videos of the Tiananmen self-immolation¹ and their fabricated evidence trying to frame Falun Gong, Liu Shuanghui called someone named Guan from the Changyi District 610 Office and the police officers on duty to beat me. They dragged me up and down the corridor by my legs. The skin on my back was torn apart by the cement floor. When I shouted "Falun Gong is good!" they beat me some more. A man named Zhang, in his fifties, from the 610 Office punched me in the face. I was bleeding from both nostrils. They then pulled me onto a bench. Liu Shuanghui began pulling my eyelids, pushing my head and forcing me to cry. She also shouted vulgarities at me.

The man surnamed Guan (approximately 50 years old) from the Changyi 610 Office beat me several times and kicked me in the corridor in front of everyone.

Jilin City 610 Office secretary Bai Yan (approximately 30 years old) participated actively with the others in physically assaulting and attempting to brainwash me. He slapped me in the mouth, twisted my arms, and kicked me. He also made me stand for long periods of time and refused to let me eat. He wanted to burn my hands with a cigarette, but I stopped him. Twice he tried to force me to jump from a building.

One policeman from the Jilin Public Security Bureau placed both of my hands behind my head, kicked me, and made me stand up straight. He then looked at me fiercely and said, "These are the eyes of the Communist Party." He threatened to come back later that night, and use other "tactics."

Two other men, who refused to reveal their names, threatened me physically. They threatened that if I continued to practise Falun Gong, I would be sentenced to imprisonment in a labour camp or a prison.

Wang Shulan and Chen Yayan slandered me. They refused to let me eat, forced me to stand for long periods of time, and made me sleep on a hard surface.

In August 2005, I was taken to the Longtanshanzhuang Brainwashing Centre in Jilin City, where I was persecuted severely. My left leg was injured, and it became purple and swollen. I could not move, my entire leg became numb, and I was bed-ridden. I could not take care of myself. It was only after I returned home and practised Falun Gong that I recovered.

1. The "Tiananmen Self-Immolation" an incident on Tiananmen Square in January 2001 whereby four people set themselves alight and the Chinese Communist claimed they were Falun Gong practitioners, yet there was video evidence to strongly disprove this claim.
