Additional Information About the Horrific Sexual Abuse Suffered by Kindergarten Teacher Ms. Hu Miaomiao in Hebei Province Forced Labour Camp

On November 13th, the article "Kindergarten Teacher Ms. Hu Miaomiao Cannot Walk after Suffering Sexual Abuse in Hebei Province Forced Labour Camp" (http://www.clearharmony.net/articles/201011/54783.html) was published on the Clearharmony website. It reported that Falun Gong practitioner Hu Miaomiao from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province was detained at the First Section of Hebei Province Women's Forced Labour Camp and that section chief Wang Weiwei and inmates Wu Yanchun, Li Lingling, and Zong Dongrong had severely tortured her. They used extremely base methods including using broom handles and their fingers to damage her private parts. Three months have passed, but Ms. Hu still hasn't recovered from the trauma. She is in extreme pain and unable to walk normally. Further information is revealed below.

Falun Gong practitioner Hu Miaomiao is a kindergarten teacher at Caigoubao Town Kindergarten in Huaian County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. A driver reported her to the police while she was telling people the facts about Falun Gong on June 15th, 2010. Police from Huaian County arrested Ms. Hu and ransacked her home. During the interrogation, Zhang Bin, deputy director of the Huaian County Public Security Bureau, bashed her with his mobile phone. On June 26th, without going through any legal procedures or notifying her family members, police secretly sent Hu Miaomiao to the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labour Camp and sentenced her to one year of forced labour.

The forced labour camp gave a misleading name to the area where practitioners were detained, calling it the "Practitioners' Apartments." It consisted of four sections, with each section corresponding to each level of the building. Ms. Hu was secretly locked in the storage room on the first floor (First Section). Policewomen and section leaders Wang Weiwei and Hou Junmei instigated inmates Wu Yanchun, Li Lingling, and Zong Dongrong to monitor and persecute Ms. Hu. She was not allowed to contact anyone, as they were afraid of her persecution situation becoming known. They followed her closely even when she washed herself. They forbade people from coming close to her.

The storage room was originally used for storing inmates' and practitioners' items, but was later used to detain and persecute newly arrived Falun Gong practitioners. Beside the storage room were two garages. One garage was used as a solitary confinement room, where Ms. Hu was locked up. She was persecuted harshly because she was determined in her belief and continued practising the Falun Gong exercises. She refused to do any labour because she understood that her imprisonment was illegal. Policewomen Wang Weiwei and Hou Junmei instigated inmates Wu Yanchun, Li Lingling, and Zong Dongrong to severely beat and torture Ms. Hu. Many inmates and Falun Gong practitioners heard her piercing screams when she was beaten. Later on, an inmate on duty said that her uterine and vaginal areas were bleeding heavily, and she was sent to outside hospitals for examination. The inmates had used broom handles and their fingers to damage her private parts. As a result, she bled heavily. For a long time she couldn't stand up straight or walk, and several people had to help her to go to the toilet. Though all the doors in the labour camp hallway were locked to keep people from seeing Ms. Hu when she went to the toilet, people could hear her painful moans and other inmates' scolding and cursing. The confinement room where Ms. Hu was detained was near the section leader's office. The leader could hear the inmates beating Ms. Hu and her screams. But she and other prison guards allowed it to continue.

Later on Ms. Hu was under even stricter surveillance. She was not allowed to freely go to the toilet. Only during meal breaks, when everyone went to the dining hall and nobody could see her, was she allowed to go to the toilet with the help of several inmates. A special person was appointed to deliver food to her. Normally the food was only a bun, not even with a dish or rice soup. She was not allowed to wash herself in the morning or at night. She only had summer slippers on when she first arrived at the forced labour camp. Now it was September, and it was cold in the early morning and late at night. Other inmates were able to wear thick socks and shoes, while Ms. Hu was still wearing that pair of worn out slippers, and she had difficulty walking in them. One inmate wanted to give her a pair of cotton shoes, but Wu Yanchun and Li Lingling swore harshly at the inmate.

Policewoman Wang Weiwei, chief of the First Section, actively took part in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Feng Kezhuang, deputy director of the forced labour camp, who was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, promoted her to be section chief. New inmates were sent to the First Section upon arrival. Inmates who were obedient and could be taken advantage of stayed on in the First Section to continue persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Wu Yanchun and Li Lingling were the two inmates Wang Weiwei sent to torture Ms. Hu. Zong Dongrong was the one Hou Junmei sent. These inmates stopped at nothing to persecute Falun Gong practitioners who refused to give up their belief. They cursed at and beat practitioners at will, even in front of the section chief.

Ms. Hu's family members came by train several times from her hometown of Caigoubao in Zhangjiakou City to the forced labour camp in Shijiazhuang City to see her during the allowed meeting time. Wang Weiwei and Hou Junmei refused to let them see her, using various excuses. Her family members were very worried about Ms. Hu. They didn't know how she was or whether she was even still alive.

We appeal to all people to help rescue Hu Miaomiao, and to stop the persecution at the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labour Camp.
