Ms. Luo Changyun, 57, Sentenced to Prison After Being Held in a Forced Labour Camp Three Times

Ms. Luo Cahngyun has been sentenced to a forced labour camp three times, and was put on probation once. She was severely tortured in the Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. Ms. Luo was put on a wanted list prior to the 2008 Olympics, and was arrested in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, and sentenced to five years in prison.

The Ankang City 610 Office agents (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) put pressure on her employer and family. The school stopped her pay eight years ago when she was first sent to a forced labour camp, and ever since then, she has not been allowed to work. Her husband became scared of all the home ransacking, extortion and mistreatment, and divorced her. Her two daughters cannot live in peace. Her first daughter found a job far away from home to avoid being harassed. Her younger daughter was constantly threatened by police, and cannot focus on her studies at college.

Ms. Luo Changyun is currently being detained in the Ninth Ward of the Shaanxi Women's Prison, where she is being tortured. The long-term abuse has severely damaged Ms. Luo's mental and physical health.
