The Qiannanzhou Intermediate Court Sentenced Mr. Liang Rongqi to Six Years in Prison

On the morning of May 27th, 2010, police officers from the Qiannanzhou 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and the Dujun 610 Office broke into the home of Mr. Liang Rongqi, ransacked his home, and arrested him. Mr. Liang was sent to the Qiananzhou Detention Centre in Guizhou Province.

On October 28th, the Duyun Court sentenced Mr. Liang to six years in prison. Mr. Liang submitted an appeal immediately. The Beijing attorney that Mr. Liang hired wrote to the Qiannanzhou Intermediate Court to ask for a public trial. Judge Yuan Hui responded that Mr. Liang's attorney would be informed about the trial. However, on March 16th, 2011, without informing the attorney, the court did not go through the normal appeal trial procedure but rather directly dispatched personnel to the detention centre, saying the court's decision on Mr. Liang's case was upheld.
