Ms. Luo Yuying, a Falun Gong practitioner from Liucheng Township, Wenjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, was transported to a brainwashing centre on May 13th. Her husband, who recently had cancer surgery, went to the centre to fight for justice. The persecutors put up innumerable obstacles but finally had to allow the couple to see each other. The husband said to his wife with determination before he left, “I will come back to visit you, very often, until I’m able to get you home.” He also told the persecutors, “I will come again to get her back!”
Ms. Luo Yuying was preparing lunch at home the morning on May 13th, when three strangers knocked on the door. She didn't open it. Later when she started cooking she found the electricity not connected, opened the door and tried to find the reason for it. As soon as the door was open, more than a dozen police officers broke in, put her into a police car and drove away.
Ms. Luo’s 70-year-old husband was at home resting from colorectal cancer surgery when this happened and was shocked by the scene. When he realised what happened he went straight to the Liucheng Police Station to ask for the reason. The police on duty said they didn't know anything about it and told him to check with the Wanchun Police Station. Arriving there, he was directed to the Tashui Police Station, then to the Tashui Township Office. A staff person named Lei met him in the office. The husband asked angrily, “My wife is a good person. She has never engaged in any wrongdoing. Why was she arrested? I suffer from cancer and completely rely on her to take care of me. You need to release her immediately!” This staff member said hypocritically, “We sent Luo Yuying to the Xinjin Legal Education Centre to study. The condition there is good. We have people accompanying her. You can rest assure that she will not have any issues there.” He coaxed the husband into leaving the office.
Once back home he still worried about Ms. Luo. He knew that the Xinjin “Legal Education Centre” is actually a brainwashing centre where Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted. He pleaded with several relatives to go to the centre with him, to get his wife back. The family members came to the Xinjin Brainwashing Centre at 2:00 p.m. on May 15th. The gate guard would not let them enter and claimed that they needed to have certain paperwork in order to get in. The husband asked angrily, “When you arrested her, you never showed me any paperwork. Why would I have to show you any paperwork when I request her release? Today I will not leave if I don’t see her.”
The guard ordered a staff on duty to get Huang Zhongzhi. The husband said to Huang, “My wife Luo Yuying is already 68 years old. She previously suffered from many illnesses. We didn't have any money for treatment. She became healthy after she started practising Falun Gong. Falun Gong teaches people to be better people. Why did you arrest her? I have colorectal cancer. I’m entirely depending on my wife to take care of me. You have now arrested her and aren't even allowing me to see her. Today I will not leave if I don’t see her!” Huang Zhongzhi didn't know how to respond. He said he had to ask his supervisor, but he could not allow him to meet with his wife now. After that he went into the building and closed the door.
The husband didn't get to see his wife. He started shouting from downstairs, “Where are you, Luo Yuying? We are here to visit you!” The family members were shouting at the same time around the building. Their shouting was "shaking" the entire evil brainwashing centre. Several guards and staff members in the centre attempted to stop them. The husband rebuffed them sternly, “Falun Gong practitioners are all good people! Persecuting Falun Gong is against the law! You are helping to persecute Falun Gong. Sooner or later, you will meet with righteous justice!”
The family shouted in the evildoers' den for close to an hour. Several guards and staff members were hiding inside because they had never seen anything like this before. Huang Zhongzhi finally appeared nervously and said they could let them meet with Luo Yuying by the windowsill.
He finally got to see his wife. He told the wife with determination before he left, “I will come back to visit you, very often, until I’m able to get you home!”
He also said to the staff at the brainwashing centre before he left, “I hope you can become clear-minded soon. Don't work so hard for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). You should treat practitioners well, to give yourself a chance for the future.” He also said, “I will come again to get her back!”
