Falun Gong practitioner, Mr. Geng Xiangfeng was arrested on May 26th, 2011 in Hebei Province, Shijiazhuang City by the Beijing police. He is held in Beijing Daxing Detention Centre.
In March 2010, Mr. Geng Xiangfeng started working at Beijing Crescent Prinect Adhesive Products Co., Ltd. The company’s address is: No. 3 Huange Rd., Huangcun Town, Lucheng Township, Daxing District, Beijing.
On May 26th, the Huangcun Town Police, Lucheng Township, Daxing District, Beijing took Mr. Geng from his company to his house under the pretext of “checking his Huangcun temporary residence permit.” The police confiscated Mr. Geng’s computer, a CD and several Falun Gong books in his house. They never informed Mr. Geng’s family about his arrest. Mr. Geng’s relatives in Beijing were unable to reach him by phone. They did not know that he had been missing for several days. His relatives looked for him in different places and finally found out that he has been held in Daxing Detention Centre.
Just prior to the police taking Mr. Geng away, he still thought about paying his rent. He gave all his money (800 yuan1) to the landlord.
Currently, Geng Xiangfeng is detained as a criminal in the Daxing Detention Centre. The Daxing Police Department Security Division filed Mr. Geng’s case. Later, his case was transferred to the Daxing Police Department Preliminary Hearing Division. However, the Preliminary Hearing Division office states that Mr. Geng’s case has been reported to Daxing Police Department Legal Division.
