Exposing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Moving of a Brainwashing Centre in Pi County, Sichuan Province

The Chinese Communist Party Committee of Pi County and the Pi County Government in Sichuan Province have taken part in severely persecuting Falun Gong practitioners since July 20th, 1999. Originally, a brainwashing centre was established at the county detention centre where practitioners were routinely and severely persecuted. Sometimes up to ninety practitioners were detained in the facility. Due to their rigourous campaign in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, Pi County was recognised as the campaign model at both city and provincial levels for other counties and cities to learn from.

Due to the growing success of Falun Gong practitioners' exposing the CCP's persecution worldwide, intervention by international communities and organisations on China's human rights has shone a spotlight on the Pi County Party Committee's and government's persecution. The CCP secretly had to relocate their brainwashing centre to an abandoned school in Bolin Village, Deyuan Town in 2008, in order to avoid national and international attention. The building was never open and there was no official address. Local villagers just knew this place as a “government office.”

In late 2010, the Foxconn Company bought more land in the Bolin Village area to expand their business. In the relocation process, the hidden brainwashing centre was moved to a village hotel Yuchuan Mingyuan in Qingxi Village, You'ai Town. However, this was discovered by local villagers and reported on by practitioners on the Minghui website [Chinese version of the Falun Gong website Clearwisdom.net].

Since that report, the brainwashing centre has again moved to a former seniors home in Meihua Village, You'ai Town. The location is remote and difficult to access because it is on the border of two towns and away from major roads.
