Good Coach is Arrested and Persecuted Many Times
Mr. Zhang Su lives in Changqing Garden, Wuhan City, and was a well-educated person. After leaving the army, he became a businessman and started to smoke, drink, gamble, and fight with other people. No matter how much his family and friends tried to persuade him, he wouldn't change a bit. Most of his friends from that time are either still doing drugs, in jail, or dead.
After starting to practise Falun Gong, Mr. Zhang accorded himself with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, such that he completely quit his bad habits. He once found a forty-gram gold necklace, and turned it in to his company without a second thought. This behaviour would have been absolutely impossible for him before he became a Falun Gong practitioner. Nonetheless, over the past 12 years, Zhang Su has been arrested and seriously beaten by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents, simply because he practises Falun Gong.
On May 16th, 1999, Mr. Zhang was arrested and interrogated by the Wuhan City Police Department. He was arrested again in August by the Haikou City Police Department, and was jailed in the Second Detention Centre of Wuhan City for more than six months. He was subsequently released on bail of forty thousand yuan1. In February 2001, Zhang Su was arrested again by the Wuhan City Police Department. Within eighteen moths, he was sent to the Jianghan District Detention Centre, the Second Detention Centre of Wuhan City, the Hanyang District Brainwashing Centre, and the Jiang'an District Detention Centre. After that, he was sentenced to a forced labour camp.
At around 8:30 a.m. on March 12th, 2004, Zhang Su was arrested while going to the tennis club. Four cars were following his motorcycle and he was arrested outside of Changqing Garden High School in broad daylight. Zhang Su shouted, “Falun Gong is good!” and the officers started beating him. Many students, teachers, passersby, and a security guard saw what was happening and tried to stop it. The persecutors told the security guard that they were from the Wuhan City Police Department. They brought a small camera and recorded all of the violent behaviour. After being taken to the Wuhan City Police Department, Zhang Su was seriously beaten. The back of his head and his spine were both injured. He was then initially transferred to Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre in the Jiang'an District, then to the Eighth Hospital of Wuhan City. In the hospital, he was threatened, harassed, and force-fed. He was finally released after the hospital confirmed his spinal injury.
Arrested Again
At around 8:00 a.m. on May 5th, 2011, Zhang Su was arrested at the ticket office of the Changqing Garden Train Station by six or seven police officers, including Cai Huan. They shot pepper spray in his face until that he could not see anything. A passersby shouted, “Report it to the police quick!” However, the passersby didn't know that the violent people were the CCP police.
There were many people around. One person questioned them, “Is this the way you treat Falun Gong practitioners?” Without any reply, they arrested Zhang Su and took him to Changqing Garden Police Station and then ransacked his home. Zhang Su's family didn't know his whereabouts for a long time.
It wa recently learned that Zhang Su was seriously beaten by five or six guards in the Hubei Province Law Education Centre, under orders from the team lead, Liu Cheng. Actually, when he saw that a female Falun Gong practitioner was being beaten by guards and her face was disfigured, he said to the guards, “How can you beat her like this?” They replied, “You are next.” Immediately, his hands were tied behind his back. He was pushed to the ground and brutally beaten until he was almost paralyzed. After hearing of this, his family finally knew that he had been arrested by officers from the Wuhan City Police Department and secretly transferred to the Hubei Province Law Education Centre for brutal persecution.
When Zhang Su was arrested, his seventy-year-old father was seriously ill. He has no other support besides his son Mr. Zhang. He had been extremely worried about his son.
