From March to June of 2011, Mr. Zhuang Wenshu, a Falun Gong practitioner and former officer in the Shenzhen Audit Office, was persecuted in Beijiang Prison, Shaoguan, Guangdong. Guards took turns torturing him over two months but failed to force him to give up his belief in Falun Gong and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. As a result, Guard Huo and others started to deprive Mr. Zhuang of sleep starting on May 16th, 2011. Here is a record for May 2011:
Dates (hours of sleep ): 5/16 (0), 5/17 (1), 5/18-5/21 (0), 5/22 (Unknown), 5/23-5/26 (0).
It is said that at least two Falun Gong practitioners were persecuted to death in Beijiang Prison.
Mr. Zhuang Wenshu was born on April 19th, 1972. His hometown is Lianyungang, and he works in the Shenzhen Audit Office. This was Mr. Zhuang's second arrest. The first time was in 2000, when he was distributing truth-clarifying materials during a High-Tech Fair. Mr. Zhuang was sentenced to Sihui Prison in Guangdong for seven years. A Minghui article on November 3rd, 2008, titled, “Former Tsinghua PhD Reveals Persecution in Sihui Prison, Guangdong” provided details of the persecution.
The dates of Mr. Zhuang's prison term after his second arrest are unknown. From March to June 2011, he underwent brutal brainwashing in Beijiang Prison and became extremely weak as a result. The guards not only deprived him of sleep, but also gave him little food. Other brainwashing tactics included forcing him to watch videos denouncing Falun Gong; torturing and insulting him, and forcing him to sit on a stool, straight and without moving, for a long time, leaving Ms. Zhuang’s posterior ulcerated and draining with pus and blood.
It is said that there is a small room in Beijiang Prison, located under a building in the 13th Ward. The crimes committed here are seldom known by others. This room is used specifically for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Huo, team leader of the Third District, is in charge. There are eight guards, about a dozen inmates, and several collaborators (former practitioners, brainwashed against Falun Gong, made to assist in brainwashing and torturing practitioners) who participate in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
Beijiang Prison has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for over ten years. Lai Jiamiao, a successful businessman in Jiaoling, Meizhou, Guangdong, was persecuted to death here in 2009, and Huang Yongzhong from Xinhe Village, Dongshan, Jieyang, Guangdong, was persecuted to death here in 2006. The persecution is strictly covered up by the prison authorities.
