On the morning of May 21st, 2012, chief Liu Bin and officer Zhu Xiaohui from the Zhaobeikou Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Huimin and Ms. Deng Gezi, two Falun Gong practitioners from Gutouzhuang Village in Xiong County, Hebei Province, and took them to the station. On the morning of May 25th, officers from Zhaobeikou Police Station, Anxin County Domestic Security Team, and Anxin 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) took Ms. Zhang and Ms. Deng to Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labour Camp. All the officers accompanied the practitioners, because they intended to divide the bonus money. It had been announced that, for each practitioner sentenced to forced labour, the participants would receive 30,000 yuan1. Ms. Deng was taken to the camp, but because Ms. Zhang failed the physical, labour camp personnel refused to admit her. Frustrated, and wanting to get as much money as possible, they had Ms. Zhang examined six or seven times. Because the labour camp was firm about not accepting her, they had to take her back. Liu Bin and the other officers didn't think they had gotten enough money, and they were not satisfied, so they detained Ms. Zhang for a few more days and then took her back to the labour camp. That didn't work, so they took her to Anxin County Police Department and then called the police department head and the 610 Office, but neither was willing to detain Ms. Zhang. The detention centre also did not want to hold her. Liu Bin and the others still did not want to give up, so they held her in the detention centre and attempted to extort money from her family. Ms. Zhang had no choice but flee from the detention centre.
In order to remain in power, the communist regime squanders huge amounts of money. It encourages rampant corruption, teaching people to be greedy and destroying what conscience they may have. With no money to support it, it would not be able to maintain this persecution for even one day.
