Ms. Wang Xiaomei, initiator of the “300 signatures” campaign that has been a source of commotion within the top leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, has been arrested. At 10:00 p.m. on May 26th, she and practitioner Tang Jianying were arrested in the No.5 Wantong District, Nanhuang Road in Changzhou City. Their cries for help reportedly alerted most of the residents in the building.

Ms. Wang Xiaomei, also known as Wang Junling, is the sister of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaodong. She lives in Zhouguantun Village, Fu Town, Botou City in Hebei Province.

According to a report on the Minghui website on May 15th, practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaodong, 42, is a college graduate and a teacher. He was arrested by police from the National Security Division of the Botou City Public Security Bureau at the end of February. His 7-year-old child and 77-year-old mother were left to fend for themselves. His arrest enraged the entire village. Three hundred families in his village signed a petition, demanding that the Procuratorate release him. This shocked the high officials in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In response, local officials arrested his sister Wang Xiaomei for trying to rescue him.

Wang Xiaomei is from a rural area. In order to rescue her brother, she set in motion the petition letter and asked villagers to sign it. They requested that the police release Wang Xiaodong so that his mother and son could return to their normal life.

Wang Xiaomei's mother fell ill shortly after both her son and daughter were arrested. We call on people to pay close attention to this situation and demand that the CCP authorities immediately release Wang Xiaodong, his sister Wang Xiaomei and other practitioners.
