Wujiabaozi Labour Camp Escalates Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners

Since March, when China's dictator issued his secret order to kill practitioners and claim that they commit suicide, the Wujiabaozi Labour Camp in Fushun city has escalated its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The following are just a few examples:

On April 28, 2002, detained practitioners Zhang Chuanwen, Duan Yuying and Yang Yuying found a steel strip on the window of their cell. They spent six days cutting the steel rails on the window. On May 6, they tried to escape from the labour camp, but only Duan Yuying succeeded. In order to protect the others, a Falun Gong practitioner named Li Li was found before she jumped out of the window. More than ten policemen used every brutal means to beat and kick the remaining practitioners. They used more than three electric batons to shock them until they were black and blue all over. Afterwards, the police even blindfolded both of their eyes and started the second round of torture. After the torture, the police sent them to a small cell and detained them there for another month. The people involved in the torture included: Director Li, Director Liu and Xu Huli.

When Supervisor Lan from the management office and the director of the education office interrogated practitioners, they were once again physically tortured. They were not supplied with blankets or water. Instead, they were only provided with a container for urination. When they interrogated Li Li, they poured urine on her until she was soaked all over. All of these tortures have not shaken Li Li's firm belief in upholding her right to practice Falun Dafa. Seeing this, the police at last released her from the labour camp and sent her to a jail.
