2001-10-26In the beginning of March, seeing that we did not relent, they tied our hands behind our backs with handcuffs and prevented us from sleeping by asking the criminals to take turns watching us during the night. Many practitioners' hands were so swollen that people found them unbearable to look at. When the police saw that my hands were not too swollen, they cuffed me with very tight handcuffs. Within a few seconds, the skin on my wrists was cut, the iron cuffs dug deeply into my flesh, and my hands lost all feeling.
