  • Germany: Munich Residents Support Practitioners' Efforts to Resist the Ten-Year Persecution

    On July 18, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners held a march and rally in Munich. Their theme was: "Disintegrate the CCP and stop the persecution". Although it was raining, the march proceeded as scheduled. The European Divine Land Marching Band led the procession. The march caught the attention of many passersby and residents.
  • France: Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Resisting the CCP's Persecution

    On July 20, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Paris held a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy to commemorate the 10th anniversary of resisting the CCP persecution. For the first time in ten years, practitioners in Paris obtained permission via legal channels to hold a protest close to the Chinese Embassy.
  • Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest Ten Years of Persecution Outside the Chinese Embassy

    On July 17, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland came to the Chinese Embassy to protest the Chinese Communist regime's 10-year of persecution against Falun Gong and to call for an end to the persecution. Several practitioners talked about the benefits they have received from the practice, as well as the regime's human rights abuses.
  • Belgium: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Candlelight Vigil in Memory of Those Who Died in the Persecution

    On July 20, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Belgium held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy. They mourned the death of their fellow practitioners and called on people with a sense of justice and conscience to help to stop the persecution. Practitioners held up banners and arranged candles to form the letters in "FALUN DAFA".
  • Austria: Practitioners Condemn the CCP's 10-Year Persecution at St. Stephen's Square

    Marking the tenth year of Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to resist the persecution, practitioners gathered at Vienna's famous tourist attraction, St. Stephen's Cathedral, on July 18, 2009. They called attention to the ten-year-long persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and appealed to every sector of society to learn the truth.
  • Turkey: Outdoor Art Exhibition Exposes the CCP's Persecution

    July 20, 2009, saw Falun Gong practitioners around the world commemorate the 10th anniversary of their efforts to protest the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of the practice. Practitioners in Turkey held a Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition to expose the brutality of the persecution of Falun Gong.
  • Sweden: Five-City Tour Lets More People Learn about the Persecution

    Practitioners in Sweden went on a car tour to tell people about Falun Gong and raise awareness about the human rights abuses against practitioners in China. The tour started on July 11, 2009, from Copenhagen, Denmark and continued through five cities: Malmo in south Sweden, Borgholm, Helsingborg, Gothenburg, and Linkping.
  • Greece: Commemorating Ten Years of Persecution

    On 18th of July, Greek practitioners went to a popular tourist area called Thissio in Athens, where they displayed notice boards exposing the persecution and distributed fliers. People were reading the information boards and asked questions about Falun Gong, which the practitioners happily answered for them.
  • United Kingdom: Uncompromising Courage Art Exhibition Marks the 10-Year Persecution of Falun Gong

    The inspiring and moving paintings from the Uncompromising Courage Art Exhibition were displayed in Westminster, London on 20th July 2009. Many members of the public had the chance to be guided around the beautiful exhibition, which narrated the often untold story of the traditional Chinese self-improvement practice, Falun Gong.
  • Finland: Candlelight Vigil Mourns Falun Gong Practitioners

    Falun Gong practitioners in Finland held a candlelight vigil in front of the Parliament building in Helsinki on the evening of July 18, 2009, to mourn their fellow practitioners in China who paid with their lives for remaining steadfast in the face of brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
  • Germany: Commemorative Activities Calling for an End to the Ten-Year Persecution Held in Essen City

    On July 1, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, held a rally in Essen City, peacefully protesting the ten-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The activities included an anti-torture exhibition, a Falun Gong exercise demonstration, and a signature collection to condemn the persecution.
  • Bosnia and Hercegovina: Commemorating Ten Years of Persecution Against Falun Gong in China

    Falun Dafa practitioners from Bosnia and Hercegovina held an event in the centre of Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Hercegovina, to commemorate the ten years of human rights abuses that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has waged against Falun Gong and to call for an immediate end to the persecution and the disintegration of the CCP.
  • Slovakia: Telling the Slovakian People about Ten Years of Persecution

    On 20th July 2009, practitioners in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, organised a rally on SNP square to commemorate ten years of persecution against Falun Gong in China. They handed out leaflets and talked to people about how the Chinese Communist Party has used all means at its disposal to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their belief.
  • Liechtenstein: Commemorating Ten Years of Persecution on July 20th

    On Monday July 20th, Falun Gong practitioners in Liechtenstein called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China by holding an activity in front of the parliament and government buildings in Vaduz, the capital city. It was the first official event organised by the newly founded Falun Dafa Association in Liechtenstein.
  • Falun Gong Practitioners Win Right to Protest at Paris Chinese Embassy

    On July 18, 2009, the Paris Administrative Court issued an ordinance to rescind a Paris police ban forbidding the Falun Dafa Association of France from holding protests in front of the Chinese Embassy on July 20. The ordinance was sent to the French Ministry of Interior Affairs. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, this is the very first time that the association has received permission to rally outside the embassy.
