Persecution Story of Hebei Province Couple Ms. Liu Fengzhi and Mr. Wei Youtong

On August 30th, 2002, half a dozen police officers arrested Mr. Wei and his wife, Ms. Liu, because both practise Falun Dafa. The police took the couple to the police station, handcuffed Mr. Wei to a heating pipe and locked them in a room for interrogation. The couple refused to answer questions. Policeman Li lashed them with a one metre-long seven-wire twist whip. As a result, Mr. Wei's back looked like a web of bloodstains, and Ms. Liu's back was also bleeding. Together the couple had 8100 yuan extorted from them before they were released. They were detained again in 2003 and 2007 and were only released after they were fined. -
50-Year-Old Mr. Liu Quanguo Dies from Torture in Heilongjiang Province
2008-02-24Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Quanguo was sentenced to forced labour twice and served his terms in the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. He became very weak due to the abuse he was subjected to in the camp. The Fifth Ward guard Zhao Shuang once said, "You will die as soon as you are released." Mr. Liu was released in the autumn of 2006. He became weaker and weaker, coughing nonstop, and had the symptoms of tuberculosis. Soon he lost consciousness and died on February 16th, 2008 at age 50. -
Mr. Chen Jinshu from Hong Kong Sentenced to Six Years in Prison by the Bao'an District Court in Guangdong Province
2008-02-24On January 29th, 2008, the Bao'an District Court in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province held a secret trial and sentenced Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Jinshu from Hong Kong to six years in prison for sending out Falun Dafa books. Mr. Chen's family has filed an appeal. Mr. Chen's older sister in Shenzhen accepted an interview in tears. She said, "My brother is innocent. He is not guilty of any crime just because he practises Falun Gong." The court fabricated evidence to frame her brother and accused him of a case that was closed in 2005. -
Ms. Liu Shuqin Endures Torture at the Hebei Province Women's Prison
2008-02-24Ms. Liu Shuqin and her daughter Wang Bo were detained for several months and then sentenced to four and five years in prison. On June 15th, 2007, Ms. Liu and her daughter, both Falun Gong practitioners, were both taken to the Hebei Province Women's Prison. After enduring many years of mistreatments and persecution, Ms. Liu Shuqin has become very weak, has high blood pressure, and heart disease. In the six months of brainwashing sessions, guards forced her to stand facing the wall every day, from breakfast time to 2 a.m. They did not allow her to close her eyes. If she did they would kick her. Ms. Liu continually resisted the torture, then the guards ordered other prisoners to drag her on the floor, back and forth. Guard Zhao said, "Prisoners and guards may mistreat Falun Dafa practitioners without any limit." -
Mr. Leng Fuyun Critically Ill in Police Custody in Jingyu County, Jilin Province; Authorities Deny Family Visits
2008-02-24On January 16th, 2007, several police broke into Mr. Leng Fuyun's home. They seized a computer, a printer, a paper cutting machine and some other materials without a warrant. In addition, they took Mr. Leng Fuyun, his wife Ms. Jiang Zhongmei, and their son Mr. Leng Jingtao into custody. They were detained in the Jingyu County Detention Centre. Mr. Leng has been detained in the detention centre for more than one year. During this period, he has been sent to the hospital many times for treatment due to injuries he received during his persecution. The guards told Mr. Leng's relatives to pay for his treatment. The relatives have asked to see Mr. Leng, but have been rejected without reason. -
Harbin City: Ms. Fan Shude Near Death as a Result of Torture
2008-02-23Ms. Fan Shude, is in her 50s. Since she practised Falun Gong her heart disease and other health problems vanished. On July 20th, 1999, when Jiang Zemin's group, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] began persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Fan went to Beijing to appeal for justice. She has been arrested four times, and persecuted in forced labour camps twice. In Wanjia Forced Labour Camp she was injected with unknown drugs by the guards and criminals causing her frequent nausea and dizziness. In August 2007 Ms. Fan went to the police station to ask for the release of a fellow practitioner. Police attacked her. The attack was so vicious that Ms. Fan suffered heart and brain damage. She then suffered a relapse of her old diseases. She has endured torture that has brought her near the point of death. -
Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province: Xu Langzhou and Family Have Endured Nine Years of Hardship
2008-02-23Ever since the birth of Xu Langzhou's son in 1999, Xu and his entire family have been repeatedly persecuted. His nine-year old son does not get to see his father. Every year at the New Year holiday, the boy asks, "Will Daddy come home?" To protect the boy, his family members have not told him about his father's imprisonment. In November 2004 the court sentenced Mr. Xu Langzhou to eight years and six months in prison, based on a forged statement from the 610 Office agents which stated they found Falun Gong leaflets on Mr. Xu. -
Female College Student from Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Persecuted for Eight Years
2008-02-23Bao Siqin-Gaowa, 30, was a physics student at Heilongjiang University and began Falun Gong practice during her second year there. Her parents then also became Falun Gong practitioners, which brought the three of them much happiness. Her parents' illnesses were cured without any medical treatment and Gaowa no longer suffered from physical ailments, and was an excellent college student, demonstrating great moral character and excelling in academics. When Falun Gong was banned, Gaowa went to Beijing to appeal against the injustice. A police officer asked her, "Do you practise Falun Gong?" Gaowa answered, "Yes." The university expelled her, six months prior to her graduation. -
A Practitioner Suffering from Torture-Induced Mental Disorder is Sent Back to Prison
2008-02-23Ms. Wang Shuxia is 45 years old. In January, 2000, she went to appeal for Falun Gong and was detained by Diaobingshan City Police. She suffered inhuman torture in a detention centre. Jail policeman Jin Pengfei tortured her many times with electric batons and shackles. Ms. Wang could not bear the mental persecution and physical torture and soon developed a mental disorder. She was then released. -
Liu Guifu Recounts Her Suffering at Daxing Women's Forced Labour Camp in Beijing

The photo is of me, Liu Guifu, taken after my release from my second stay in a forced labour camp. My family and friends could no longer recognise me. My weight had dropped from about 10.7 stone to less than 7.9 stone due to the abuse I suffered at the labour camp. My hair turned grey, and much of it fell out. My face is full of wrinkles. I look 20 years older than I am. -
Ms. Wang Qi Beaten and Abused after Being Arrested in Gansu Province
2008-02-22On November 25th, 2007, police arrested Ms. Wang Qi, a computer instructor because she was carrying a Falun Gong book in her bag. At the police station the police chief interrogated her as to the origin of the Falun Gong book. Police handcuffed her, and punched and kicked her. The chief said, "Even if Falun Gong members are beaten to death, they die for nothing, and their family might never know about it." -
Ms. Ma Duo Has Been Detained at Jiamusi Detention Centre in Heilongjiang Province for Months
2008-02-22Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ma Duo, 26 years old, used to teach at Qianli School in Jiamusi City and is an excellent teacher. In order not to let others be deceived by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lies, she often informed people about the true nature of Falun Gong and the persecution. She ended up being reported on and was summarily dismissed from Qianli School. In November 2000, Ma Duo went with her mother to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. She and her mother unfurled a banner over 2 metres long, reading "Falun Dafa Free Teaching". She was caught by police officers and detained at Jiamusi City Detention Centre. At that time, Ma Duo was only 17 years old, she was detained for over 10 days. Her mother was sentenced to three years in a forced labour camp. On December 13th, 2007, was arrested at work and is again detained at Jiamusi City Detention Centre. -
Guangzhou University Professor Ms. Wang Jiafang Persecuted for Eight Years
2008-02-22The detention centre often used evil ways to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, including forcing them to watch slanderous videos and TV programmes, forcing prisoners to read slanderous articles to practitioners, forbidding them from practising the Falun Gong exercises, handcuffing practitioners who were on hunger strikes, adding unknown drugs in force-fed food, spreading lies about practitioners, and physically attacking and brutally beating them. Practitioner Wang Jiafang recalled a time when the guards forced her to listen to slanderous articles even when she went to the toilet. It was nonstop, and she was not allowed to sleep. -
Teacher Mr. Ding Guoying Becomes Mentally Disordered As a Result of Imprisonment
2008-02-21Mr. Ding Guoying was a primary school teacher in Xingyang City, Henan Province. Since he was released from the Xinmi Prison in October of 2007, he has not spoken a word, shown any facial expression, or been able to take care of himself. Mr. Ding Guoying was arrested in June 2002 for advocating "Truthfulness, Compassion,Forbearance" in his school classroom. Five months later, in November 2002, he was secretly sentenced to seven years in prison and taken to Xinmi Prison. In the winter of 2002, Mr. Ding's mother visited him in prison. This is the coldest season of the year, and she saw her son wearing only thin clothes. Mr. Ding did not recognize his mother. A well-known and respected teacher, formerly a normal and healthy person, became mentally disordered as a result of persecution, just because he believed in "Truthfulness,Compassion, Forbearance." -
Ms. Qiu Yuxia and Daughter Ma Duo Arrested by 610 Office Agents of Jiamusi City
2008-02-21At 6:50 a.m. on December 13th, 2007, Teng Yan, deputy head of Changhong Police Substation, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, along with two police officers broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qiu Yuxia. They arrested Ms. Qiu Yuxia, and took away her home computer, printer, CD writer, VCD player, 2000 yuan in cash, a bank deposit book and deposit receipts (amounting to 30,000 yuan), her ID card and salary deposit card. Qiu Yuxia's daughter Ma Duo was arrested while at work. At 3 o'clock that afternoon, both women were sent to the detention centre.
