In August 2001, practitioner Ms. Yan Zongfang was arrested and taken to the Longshan Police Station for distributing Falun Gong materials. They then sent her to the detention centre for persecution. She was handcuffed to a metal bed for 57 days, with her arms and legs severely stretched in four directions. She had to relieve herself on the bed. The police forbade her to take a shower. During the hot summer she became smelly and itchy. She also had constipation for several days. Her hands and feet were swollen and her fingers were numb. She was in much pain. She demanded to be set free of the bed. Police Station chief He Yongfu responded viciously, "A killer can escape from here, but not you! We have to keep you handcuffed on this metal bed until you are sentenced to a labour camp." -
Stories of Five Practitioners from Hunan Province Who Were Given Toxic Drugs by their Captors in Labour Camps and Prisons
2007-03-10610 Officers arrested Mr. Peng in January 2001. The officers forcefully fed him some unknown toxin, and the resulting pain made him roll back and forth. When they sent him to the detention centre, he was totally disfigured, black and blue and swollen all over. He couldn't even be recognised. On winter nights, they poured cold water on him and then made him lie on the ground for a few hours. They squashed his toes with the leg of a chair and forced him to kneel on the ground. -
How the Guards in the Eighth Squad of Liaoning Women's Prison Torture Practitioners
2007-03-10The guards used their entire bag of dirty tricks on practitioner Ms. Li Chunxiao: they ordered the most vicious criminal prisoners to watch her, did not allow her to sleep, poured cold water on her, cuffed her hands behind her back, and placed her inside a small box in which she could not even move her neck and had difficulty breathing. Ms. Li had to spend so much time in the box that she could no longer move her head or hands, and her eyes started to protrude and were bruised. She was tortured in this way until she was scarcely recognisable as a human being, and everybody who saw her was appalled. -
Ms. Xu Jiling Suffered a Mental Collapse Due to Torture
2007-03-09Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xu Jiling is currently detained in Shandong Province First Women's Labour Camp and has suffered a mental collapse. The camp brutally tortures practitioners with 14-15 hours of hard labour every day. The main product at the labour camp is stuffed animals. Each detained practitioner must finish 20-30 per day, otherwise points are deducted, which results in extended detention. Practitioners are exhausted every day, and some cannot bend their fingers. On January 22nd, 2007, four to five guards took turns beating one female practitioner with a thick wooden club until the club broke in half. -
Graduate Student Mr. Hong Wei Is Suffering Intense Persecution in Prison

After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, because Mr. Hong Wei persisted in practising Falun Dafa, he was repeatedly detained and subjected to brainwashing attempts. He was an important target, on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) blacklist. In 2001, Hong Wei was suspended from his postgraduate studies . In 2002, Mr. Hong was again arrested. After having been detained without charge for more than one year, he was secretly sentenced to ten years in prison. -
Savage Brainwashing Attempted at Hebei Provincial Prison for Women
2007-03-09In May 2006, the Hebei Provincial Women's Prison created a so-called "attack team." At first they formed teams comprised of four "collaborators", to surround Dafa practitioners and spread rumours. If practitioners resisted, they were attacked. When practitioners refused to be "reformed", their next step was to carry out the so-called "stewing the eagle," by taking turns torturing Dafa practitioners day and night, and depriving them of sleep. -
All Six Family Members Imprisoned, Ms. Liu Guifang Died
2007-03-09The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) extorted a large amount of cash fines from Ms. Liu Guifang family. Five members were sentenced to prison or forced labour terms. Her eldest daughter, Ms. Liu Furong, was unlawfully sentenced to five years in prison. Ms. Liu Guifang herself was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour and sent to Xinhua Forced Labour Camp in Mianyang City. After the labour camp refused to admit her, she was detained in the Jian'ge County Detention Centre and further mistreated. Because of the long term persecution, Ms. Liu became very frail. She died on June 10th, 2006. -
Mr. Yang Jianju, Ms. Shen Yuehong and 10-Month-Old Baby Arrested in Xuchang City, Henan Province for Practising Falun Gong
2007-03-09On January 21st, 2007, practitioners Mr. Yang Jianjun and his wife, Ms. Shen Yuehong were arrested by police in Xuchang City. The police snatched Ms Shen's 10-month-old baby from her arms. Ms. Shen and her baby were sent to a brainwashing centre. Now they are homeless. In the past few years, Mr. Yang and Ms. Shen's parents and other relatives have also been persecuted and their homes searched. This has led to the deaths of three older members of their family. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms. Shen Zili and Ms. Xu Hongmei from Heilongjiang Province Die From Persecution -- Their Bodies Hastily Cremated Under Police Watch

Police unlawfully arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Xu Hongmei and Ms. Shen Zili (pictured), and brutally tortured them for five days. Xu Hongmei was hung by her handcuffs, and also hung with her handcuffs behind her back. Shen Zili was wrapped and immobilised in a chair with tape. The police hit her head against a wall until she lost consciousness. As a result, they lapsed into a deep coma and passed away on February 27th, 2007. Their bodies were hastily cremated. -
Older Hong Kong Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zeng Aihua Sentenced to Three-year Prison Term - Her Relatives Also Persecuted
2007-03-0858-year-old Ms Zeng Aihua is a steadfast Dafa practitioner. During her nine months of detention, she refused to wear a prison uniform, never wrote a guarantee statement promising to give up the practice of Falun Gong, never signed any interrogation records, and never provided any information of other Dafa practitioners to the authorities. Because of this she was subjected to torture. Severely short-sighted, her glasses were taken away when she was first sent to the detention centre. She was forced to labour for long periods of time and her eyesight deteriorated significantly. On February 12th, 2007, the Pudong New District Court in Shanghai sentenced Ms. Zeng Aihua to a 3-year prison term. -
Practitioner Mr. Chen Binli Subjected to Brutal Torture in Panjin Prison, Liaoning Province
2007-03-08Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Binli from Liaoning Province was detained in Panjin Prison for over two and a half years, because he distributed leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Dafa. Many times he was tortured on a "tiger bench" for 70 hours and shocked with five electric batons at the same time. He was also brutally force-fed, after he went on a hunger strike to protest the unjust persecution. The torture he suffered was completely inhumane. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Bo and Family Refuse to Accept Unjust Sentence - Appeal Stalled
2007-03-08Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Bo was charged with "using x cult to sabotage the administration of law" and sentenced to five years in prison on February 2nd, 2007. Her father Wang Xinzhong and mother Liu Shuqin were sentenced to four years in prison with the same charge. Wang Bo and her parents refused to accept the unjust verdict. They appealed with the Shijiazhuang Intermediate Court before February 10th, yet they are still waiting for the court to file the case. -
Dehui City Police Use Violence, Threats and Imprisonment to Destroy the Happiness Brought by Dafa to Practitioner Mr. Zhang Chunqi and His Family
2007-03-08Since Zhang Chunqi went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa he has been seriously persecuted. Recently, he has been in a detention centre for more than two months and has suffered brutal persecution. Moreover, his parents and all of his relatives have also been suffering greatly. His mother cries every day and has been unable to sleep at night. His children also lost their laughter and happiness. His wife and other relatives worry about him every day. Zhang Chunqi's father's health has also suffered due to continuously grieving over his son's situation. -
Practitioner Ms. Yu Cuilan Is Held in Heizuizi Women's Prison, and Her Life Is in Danger

On May 19th, 2006, officers of the National Security Brigade of Changchun City arrested Ms. Yu. They tortured her in an attempt to extract information. Due to the torture, Ms. Yu became disabled and suffered heart failure. Again, on December 23rd, police officers sent practitioner Ms. Yu Cuilan, who was very thin and almost paralysed from torture, to Heizuizi Women's Prison in Jilin Province. -
Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners by Licheng District 610 Office Agents in Jinan City, Shandong Province
2007-03-07The officials from the Licheng District 610 Office in Jinan City pay people to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The 610 Office highly publicised a scheme that says one would receive a reward of between 1,000 and 2,000 yuan for reporting a practitioner. In the past few years, many villagers brainwashed by Communist Party propaganda have reported practitioners. These practitioners' homes were ransacked and their property confiscated. They were extorted out of money in the name of fines and were sent to brainwashing centres, where they were forced to pay a high "brainwashing fee." Some practitioners were sent to prisons and forced labour camps.
