Ms. Li Chunzhi Died as a Result of Persecution
2006-07-31
Ms. Li Chunzhi, 41, was repeatedly arrested and detained because she practised Falun Dafa. In August 2001, Ms. Li was again arrested. Four male officers stripped her, shocked her with an electric baton when she had only her underwear on, verbally abused her, and beat her. She was released after she stopped eating for four days. In 2003 she was sentenced to three years of forced labour and released after she went on a hunger strike for 47 days. Over the past several years, due to the police's constant harassment, threats, arrests, and detention, Ms. Li Chunzhi had no stable life, and that greatly damaged her physical and mental health. She died on June 19th, 2006. -
Once Severely Persecuted and Tortured, Mr Qiao Renxi Now Forced to Become Destitute and Homeless
2006-07-31During his detention, the policemen in the Chaoyanggou Labour Camp inhumanely persecuted and tortured Qiao Renxi. They hammered toothpicks into his fingers and cut off the part that was outside the fingers so that the toothpicks couldn't be taken out. This caused every finger to experience excruciating pain and fester from the wounds. Eventually he lost feeling in his fingers. The police took off his shoes and put his feet on the edge of the triangular iron bar, with one policeman hanging himself up by clutching the crossbeam of the house and forcefully stomping on his feet and grinding down. This made him nearly lose consciousness. They took wooden boards and slashed at his back and legs with them, causing cuts and bruises up and down his body. During his stay in the labour camp, he contracted scabies, which made him feel extremely painful and itchy. -
The Death of Dafa Practitioner Yang Hailing at the Hands of the Police (Photos)
2006-07-30Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Hailing was from Heilongjiang Province. Since being arrested on April 25th, 2002 in Mishan City, she suffered tortures such as pricking needles into her head, arms and hands, smearing mustard into her eyes and handcuffing her hands behind her back. Ms. Yang passed away on April 12th, 2003, after suffering inhuman tortures at the hands of detention centre guard Ma Baosheng in the Mishan City No. 1 Detention Centre. -
Recent Incidences of Persecution in the Notorious Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp
2006-07-30Beginning on February 24th, 2006, Li Mingyu and Liu Yong, who are husband and wife, and Ma Jishan, directly orchestrated and executed a new round of persecution on Falun Gong practitioners detained in Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp. On March 2nd, practitioner Ms. Sun Shuji was beaten for not wearing the camp uniform. With a mouthful of blood, Ms. Sun fell to the ground and lost consciousness. On April 13th, practitioner Ms. Yang Liwei was punched in the face more than ten times by Chen Jingmin because she refused to wear her name tag. -
Dafa Practitioners Beaten and Tortured by Laishui County Police Department in Hebei Province
2006-07-30I was escorted from Beijing to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) School of Laishui County where I was brainwashed. There were already more than seventy Dafa practitioners being persecuted there, and the sounds of beatings and screams incessantly filled the air. Some practitioners were tortured until they became crippled, and some were so severely tortured that their eyes became black and their faces became swollen. One time, to achieve their goal of "transformation," the guards bought 1000 ropes. The ropes were used up in just a few days. Later they twisted electrical wires to scourge us." -
Brutal Persecution Conducted by the Shuanghe Forced Labour Camp in Qiqihar City
2006-07-30To achieve "transformation," section head Xu lifted me up and heavily threw me to the floor. Xu then kicked and stomped on me with his heavy leather boots. After that, he dragged me by the hair and beat me. My scalp was in such pain, as if the skin had been torn away and a lot of my hair had been pulled out at the root. The bruises were all over my body. He beat me until he was tired. Later, he brought a long strip of cloth and tied my hands behind my back and then, hung me up from a metal pipe. With an electric baton in his hand, he said, "I will not stop shocking you until you soil your trousers!" The sounds of the electric baton were very loud. Painful screaming and crying also came out from other cells. -
Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Peizhen from Shenzhen Sentenced to Eight Years
2006-07-30Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Peizhen was arrested at her room on April 14th last year by police from Xili local police station, who were incited by the Nanshan District 610 Office and the Nanshan District Public Security sub-bureau. They confiscated her computer. Ms. Liu was imprisoned in Nanshan District prison for more than a year. During this period of time, police did not allow her relatives to visit her. Around November 2005, Nanshan District Court held a trial of Ms. Liu and other three Dafa practitioners. In April 2006, Ms. Liu was sentenced to eight years in jail. -
Baotou City Practitioner Ms. Liu Wenli Arrested, Dies as a Result of Persecution
2006-07-29On June 19th, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Wenli from Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, was arrested by the police from the Donghe Police Department and the Guanqu Police Station in Baotou City. She was sent to the Baotou Detention Centre, and died about ten days later as a result of persecution. The details are under investigation. -
More Information on Mr. Wang Xiangshang’s Death
2006-07-29In the beginning of June 2006, in Henan Province, Yuzhou City State Security Division Head Xia Yuxiao (male) threatened Mr. Wang Xiangshang's nephew and told him to look for his uncle Mr. Wang Xiangshang. Xia Yuxiao said that otherwise, he would be forced into early retirement. On June 19th, 2006, after being forced to leave home for six years to avoid being arrested, Mr. Wang Xiangshang collapsed in front of his door after not having any contact with home the past six years. He died without a word. -
Mr. Zhang Hongwei’s Life at Risk, Yet Prison Management Bureau of Jilin Province Refuses to Release Him
2006-07-29In 2001, Mr. Zhang Hongwei was arrested in Beijing for making materials exposing the persecution of Falun Dafa and was sentenced to a long prison term of 13 years. He was sent to the Tiebei Prison in Changchun City late in 2001. Mr. Zhang Hongwei went on a 53-day hunger strike to protest the persecution that he was facing. In March 2002, Zhang Hongwei was sent to Jilin Prison for further persecution. He was tortured with solitary confinement, tied to the "Dead man’s bed," given the "Big Hang-up," and savagely beaten. His family members appealed against the brutal torture and therefore he was taken out of solitary confinement. -
A 67-Year-Old Widow Tortured by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Officials
2006-07-29Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lin is a 67-year-old widow who lives in a nursing home in Hebei Province. One night in May 2001, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials broke into Zhang Lin's residence and took 500 yuan in cash. Later in the evening, Zhang Lin was taken to Dongxianpo Township government. The officials handcuffed Zhang Lin to the heater radiator in the evening and forced her to spread her arms around a big tree in the daytime. They tortured her for two days. -
Ms. Zhao Qunlan from Hunan Province Is in Critical Condition Due to the Persecution
2006-07-29The family of Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Qunlan was not allowed to visit her until July 10th, 2006. At the visit, Ms. Zhao was helped by two people, a man and a woman, as police looked on. Her face was so distorted that her family members could barely recognise her. Her whole body was trembling. She could not stand on her own. She could not talk and could not recognise her own family members. She had no feeling in any part of her body and one of her legs was dangling. -
Remembering Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Hongbin -- Before the Persecution Began

Wang Hongbin was physically tortured and mentally tormented at the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp. The guards ordered the inmates to burn off his fingernails from the root. The inmates would receive sentence reductions by brutally torturing Falun Gong practitioners. The labour camp authorities didn't permit his release on medical parole and only released him when his life was in danger. He passed away from long-term persecution. -
Guards at Zhuanghe Detention Centre in Liaoning Province Brutally Torture Practitioners
2006-07-28In order to seek justice for Falun Dafa, we four practitioners from Dalian City went to Beijing to appeal on February 9th, 2000. From that moment on, the local police detained and beat us. They used all kinds of methods to torture us. For example, they would make a practitioner hold one position for a long period time, which caused extreme pain in the arms, legs, and lower back. They beat practitioners with a stick that doesn’t damage the bone but is nonetheless very painful. The male practitioners were taken into an isolated room one by one. Guards kicked and badly beat them. They asked the practitioners during the beating whether they would still practise Falun Gong. -
Practitioner Mr. Qian Jinsong Suffers Life-Threatening Tortures at the Gaobeidian Detention Centre in Hebei Province
2006-07-28On June 7th, 2006, local police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Qian Jinsong and four other practitioners in Baigou and detained in Gaobeidian Detention Centre. Police and inmates, including the police chief, tortured him savagely. Qian was injected with an unknown fluid. He felt feverish and could not sleep. On June 26th, Qian was unable to supply blood for a blood test. He then started to vomit blood and lost control over his bowels and bladder. He looked blue and was about to die. The police immediately turned the dying Qian over to his family members.
