• Practitioner Ms. Yang Lijuan Suffers Persecution in Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp

  Jilin City Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Lijuan was transferred to the provincial Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp on September 23rd, 2005 after having been arrested one month ago, had a confession extracted by force, and unjustly sentenced. The camp police are applying tortures such as shocks with electric batons and denial of sleep to continuously persecute Ms. Yang. Her family visited her. When asked by family members what was going on, in front of the camp police and instructor, Ms. Yang talked about the tortures she suffered. She talked about how she had been hung up, force-fed mustard water for more than five hours, tied to a metal chair and shocked by electric batons.

• Six Dafa Practitioners from Tianjin, Henan, and Shanxi Passed Away Due to Persecution

  Wang Yanbin was over 50 years old. She was a well-respected teacher in Henan Province. On July 20th, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Upon returning home after an appeal, the police began to monitor her. In the beginning of 2000, she was fined 4000 yuan simply because she handed out materials exposing the persecution. In February 2001, Ms. Wang was detained for two months after being discovered with practitioners in her home sharing experiences. Ms. Wang Yanbin was harassed and threatened by the local 610 Office and the police for years, until she became ill and passed away on January 26th, 2003.

• Cruel Persecution of Practitioners at Sichuan Province's Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp

  With encouragement and support of the guards, drug addict criminals thought of many wicked ideas to persecute practitioners. They locked up practitioner Ms. Geng Xiaojun in a dark place and hung her up for one day and night before letting her down. When they saw that she still refused to cooperate, they crossed and folded her legs together, and used a rope to tie her legs in this position for over ten hours. Ms. Geng was only released when she lost consciousness from the torture.

They didn't treat me the same way they did other practitioners. The others were subjected to physical and verbal abuse, and handcuffed at will. They faked kindness towards me. This form of persecution is quite shameless, because while they lull you into trusting them, they persecute you. You are unaware of their true intention, and eventually they'll put you in a position where you feel better off dead than alive."

• Practitioner Mr. Liu Guoxing Passed Away Due to Persecution in Chongqing City Brainwashing Centre

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Guoxing was arrested for the second time by police on October 1st, 2005. After the arrest, he was taken to the Baimayi Brainwashing Centre where he was tortured into a state of mental instability and he experienced frequent fainting episodes. On January 30th at some point after being released from the brainwashing centre, Mr. Liu lost consciousness and fell into a ditch four metres deep. Sadly, he passed away on February 5th, 2006.

• Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Ping Dies after Enduring Cruel Torture

  48-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Ping, died on November 27th, 2005 due to long term persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The torture she suffered included the following: being hung up, being shocked with electric batons, being deprived of sleep, being sprayed with cold water in the winter, being exposed to the elements where swarms of mosquitoes could bite her, having her pubic hair pulled out, suffering sexual assault, having her mouth forced open with a mop handle when she was on hunger strike and thereby knocking out 3 of her teeth, being force-fed and having the feeding tubes left in for an entire week.

• Practitioner Ms Song Ailiang from Dalian Tortured in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

  In late March 2005, to further persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, the practitioners were not allowed to come down to the first floor even during meals, and they had no hot water. They could only drink cold water [note: in China, especially in prison, the cold tap water is not sanitary and not suitable for drinking] and take cold baths. The practitioners collectively protested against the persecution. Beginning on April 1st, they all went on a hunger strike. All the guards were mobilised to force-feed practitioners, which is really a method of further persecution. Over ten people forcibly fed one practitioner. The food was corn porridge mixed with unknown substances.

• Two Women Persecuted to Death in Liaoning Province's Women's Prison

  In mid-January of 2006, 61-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Lihua was in critical condition in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. Her family was advised to bail her out "for medical treatment," but she passed away on January 27th. The details are still under investigation. Ms. Wang Xiuxia, 41, was also persecuted into critical condition at Liaoning Province Women's Prison. She passed away on January 24th after being released.

• Ms. Lu Lihua Tortured to Death, At Least Six Others Missing

  On September 23rd, 2005, a large-scale arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners occurred in Harbin City. 610 Office agents beat Ms. Lu Lihua brutally, with bruises covering her neck down to her thighs. When she could not move any longer, the police saw that there was no hope of forcing her to give in, but they were afraid she would become evidence of their deeds, so they planned to silence her forever. The police officers placed her on the ladder and forced her to climb up with electric baton shocks. When she was at the top of the ladder, they kicked the ladder, causing her to fall to her death. This murder took place in the afternoon of October 2nd, 2005. Ms. Lu's child is still not aware that her mother was killed so tragically.

  Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Shuyuan is detained in the prison. For nearly three years, she has participated in hunger strikes and she refuses to wear the prison uniform. Each day, the police in the prison order inmates to wrap her body up with white bed sheets and send her to the hospital for force-feeding. Due to the long-term persecution, she is very weak. Each day, the prison police hang Ms Wang Xi up, with both of her hands over the bed. They release her to go to bed after 2 am each morning. Then at 4 am each morning she is again handcuffed and hung over the bed.

  "At about 8 a.m. on March 3rd, 2004, four policemen rushed into my home. I was reading a brochure at the time. They took the brochure from my pocket and demanded to know where it came from.   The police in Fenggou County, Fengmao Forest, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province have never stopped persecuting Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Xinchun, even though they crippled him in 2001. At the end of 2005, the police wounded his already disabled legs. On October 31st, 2005, Mr. Wang was crawling on the road, on his way home. police jumped out of a police car, searched the pockets of Mr. Wang Xinchun's coat and found handwritten Falun Dafa materials, so he began to beat him. Mr. Wang Xinchun's face was swollen and was full of bruises. Once again, blood flowed from his two injured, disabled legs.

• Police Chiefs in Shangdong Province Extort Millions of Yuan from Practitioners

  Throughout these years of persecution, Xue Lianchun and Chen Yuezhi have led police officers to steal belongings and funds from Falun Dafa practitioners' family members, forcing them to pay fines totalling millions of yuan. They have never given a single receipt for money or items stolen. After the police arrested several practitioners, they extorted two to five thousand yuan from their families before releasing them. Some practitioners' family members were forced to give Chen Yuezhi "Three Gold" (referring to gold rings, gold earrings and gold bracelets), and also hand in 2,000 yuan in fines, without being given any receipts.
