Finland: Falun Gong at Helsinki Global Village Festival

On May 23rd and 24th 2009, the annual Global Village Festival was held in Helsinki, Finland. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the festival and were given a positive reception. The Global Village Festival is a large scale event with about 50,000 visitors from Finland and many other countries. A few hundred non-governmental organisations and art groups participated. -
Finland: Exposing the CCP's Live Organ Harvesting at an International Medical Conference in Helsinki

The 19th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) was held at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre in the Finnish capital from May 16 to 19, 2009, with over 7,000 doctors from all over the world in attendance. Falun Gong practitioners in Finland came to the venue to distribute leaflets exposing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) hideous crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. -
Turkey: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Ankara

Before the activities, practitioners talked to the city government officials. They explained the facts and obtained permission to hold the activities. The government officials supported the practitioners, and expressed their opinion that society would be better if there were more people like Falun Gong practitioners. -
Belgium: Promoting Falun Dafa at the Mano Mundo Festival

During the weekend of 9 and 10 May 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Belgium promoted the practice at Mano Mundo, a global intercultural and sustainable festival located in Boom near Antwerp. This year about 87,000 people visited the festival. Many people were informed about the beauty of Falun Dafa, and about the human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners in China. -

In the morning of the 24th of April, practitioners gathered opposite the Chinese Embassy and held up banners with slogans such as “Falun Dafa is good” and “Immediately stop persecuting Falun Gong”. They distributed leaflets to those who came to the Embassy for visa applications. -

The Vice-President of the European Parliament, Mr Edward McMillan-Scott, organised a press conference at London's Foreign Press Association recently. He invited experts on China, scholars and Falun Gong practitioners who suffered persecution, to expose the genocidal crimes of the Chinese Communist regime's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. -
Finland: A tourist said, "Falun Gong can be seen everywhere"

On April 18, practitioners gathered at the Helsinki central train station, as they have done in the past, and although the fierce wind sometimes blew the banners down and scattered the display boards, the practitioners did not depart. They handed out flyers which explain the true situation of the persecution in China and demonstrated the exercises. -

I then contacted the host of the activity and said I would like to make use of the opportunity to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and publicise the large movement of Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party. -
Germany: Exposing the Persecution and Commemorating the April 25th Appeal

Titisee Lake is a famous tourist spot that is visited by many Chinese tourists, and the practitioners took this opportunity to help them withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations. -

They broadcast speeches detailing the evil nature of the CCP to awaken people and stop the persecution. -
Denmark: Falun Gong Practitioners Remember April 25th

On the 25th of April, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Denmark and Sweden held an activity in a square in Copenhagen to commemorate the tenth anniversary of ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners peacefully appealing in Beijing. They also called for an end to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. -
United Kingdom: London Practitioners Commemorate the Tenth Anniversary of "April 25" Event

On April 25 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in the UK held a day-long commemorative activity in London. This included demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises and holding a peaceful protest at the Chinese Embassy, hosting a press conference, and holding a parade through central London and Chinatown. -
