Gaohexiang Police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Jing on October 18th, 2011. She was held in Jining Detention Centre. On April 10th, 2012, Jinxiang Town Court had a hearing on her case, but her family was not allowed to attend or hire a lawyer. In the end the court announced that it would have a re-trial due to lack of evidence.
On August 23rd, Jinxiang Town Court secretly sentenced Ms. Liu to eight years. Her family thought she was still in Jining Detention Centre until they received a call from Jinan Women's Forced Labour Camp in September.
Ms. Liu Jing is 47 years old. She used to have numerous illnesses. After she practised Falun Gong, she recovered quickly, and was even able to work. Since she benefited enormously from Falun Gong, she hated to see ordinary citizens poisoned by the CCP's lies, so she persevered in explaining the facts about Falun Gong.
