On March 6th, 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Qibing was arrested for sending out Falun Gong material exposing the persecution. The police raided his home and confiscated his computer, printer, and informational materials. He is being held in Jiaonan Detention Centre.
On April 20th, the Jiaonan 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) sent an arrest warrant to his home.
During his first hearing his family noticed that he had a problem walking. He and all the other practitioners were handcuffed and shackled. Families were not allow to visit them after their arrests.
Altogether, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were arrested. On August 6th, Jiaonan Court held an open trial for practitioners Geng Dexiao, Yin Qiye, and Mr. Li Qibing. On August 22nd, Zhang Maoyuan was tried. On August 23rd, the trial for practitioners Ms. Zhang Shuxin, Zhang Shuwen, Chen Yuzhen, and Feng Jinhua lasted only an hour. Prosecutor Sun Chunfang quickly read the case, and Judge Liu Jinren conducted a hasty hearing.
Practitioners Zhang Shuxin, Zhang Shuwen, Chen Yuzhen, and Feng Jinhua have been held in Qingdao Detention Centre since March 10th, 2012.
Jiaonan 610 Office and Police Department used torture on the practitioners. According to Liuwang Town, Sun Lei, director of the local police station, interrogated Ms. Zhang Shuxin for five days using all sorts of torture in an attempt to make her talk.
